  1. I agree.
  2. I would consider a trade for one of Vegas' many depth goalies to slot on the Amerks if Ullmark becomes a Sabre due to a Lehner trade for example.
  3. It's all because of Darcy. Drafting badly for a decade ruined everything because no one had to earn their way on to this team. There's no internal competition in the org.
  4. I think the thing is, if you can get wingers for Jack, they have to be the kind of guys who will demand more from him. I don't think Kane is making any demands of Jack. I don't think Sam is either. Is anyone on this team really in a position to do that?
  5. This could still happen. Yes.
  6. I said the same somewhere else. I think it's the case. Sam and Kane would be the guys I move out.
  7. Ullmark isn't up because anyone is getting traded. Lehner had a maintenance day.
  8. @WGR550 Another switch up in the lines: Kane-Eichel-Reinhart Nolan-O'Reilly-Okposo Pouliot-Criscuolo-Pominville Girgensons-Larsson-Moulson #Sabres What even are lines anyway?
  9. I think, if you take a quick look at the West, the ideal landing spot for Kane is San Jose. They're shallow at LW, they're having goal scoring problems because Jumbo Joe is so slow now. They could use his speed to get them on par with the rest of the West in team GF.
  10. I don't know. I could see the Ducks still wanting a winger. Henrique and Blandisi don't automatically solve their injury problems. We probably wouldn't be getting NHL players back, but prospects could happen. Their AHL roster isn't looking too hot right now though, so I don't know if Anaheim is my trade partner.
  11. I can't see Botterill dragging Ullmark away from the Amerks though. It doesn't fit his supposed method. I could still see Anaheim taking Kane. You can never have too much scoring. We'd only be getting prospects back, but that's okay.
  12. I don't think Botts is going to be looking for picks. It's prospects or vets with a few years left on their contracts who aren't dumpster fires like Matty Mo.
  13. We'd bandied it about before here and I think I was right when I said they weren't looking for a winger. They want and NHL ready center who can play west coast hockey and Henrique fits that bill. Even if we were in the convo, NJ beats us with the more appealing player. Blandisi isn't a bad prospect either.
  14. I think that's a nice trade for both teams. Ducks get a center with Getzlaf out indefinitely and NJ gets better on defense.
  15. I'm inclined to agree with you Raki. I don't think Nylander's WJC numbers are worth paying attention to. I would prefer Nylander not even attend the WJC. I think his efforts should be focused on Rochester.
  16. My feeling with Kane is that he has pretty much all the tools to succeed, except that for whatever reason he is incapable of developing any chemistry with his teammates. He can shoot, he can skate, he can battle, but it always feels like he's doing it independently of everyone else. I've always felt this was why Winnipeg moved him, not the off ice stuff.
  17. It's not that bad. It just doesn't make sense from our end. We don't need a rental player. We need something more substantial. I think you are overvaluing Kane's return on the rental market though.
  18. I like it.
  19. No they can't.
  20. I hate to say it but I wouldn't be looking for D in a Kane trade. I want forward prospects. Literally anyone who can score a damn goal. We'll worry about D later.
