It's all talk. They need to show me. They've had ample opportunity this year to try to string two or three good games together and they can't do it. They aren't trying to do it. Why should I believe that this will have any effect? Maybe they come out and play balls to the wall tonight. So? They'll be back to their bullsh*t in two games like Matty Mo never existed.

I'm kinda coming around to this argument lately mainly because of the huge amount of money and effort being dumped into all of this military recruitment advertising in pro sports. If we want to draw parallels between soldiers and athletes, then let's do that. Let's fix the pro athlete system to something that serves these guys better later in life (like we supposedly do with our vets) when they're brain damaged and useless just because they wanted to play a game for our amusement (or fight a war for no reason). I'm tired of feeling bad about these guys. I'd rather just do right by them when they hang em up.

I agree, PA. I don't think the Moulson thing sends a message at all. These guys might be talking the talk, but they're going to have to sell me on it. I don't think any of them are worried about their roster spots.

Shot differential should equate to winning if your shooters are any good. The problem is our shooters are total garbage. Nobody finishes.

Hindsight on my end certainly agrees. The goal should have simply been to rebuild and the team probably would have just sucked all on its own. Not that I didn't enjoy turning over the old failed core, but it would have been nice if this team had had anyone on it who was worth keeping to fill the roles of illegitimate transplants like Gionta and Moulson. The tank murdered the whole concept of being a Buffalo Sabre.
