    Twitter is a weird place. I regularly interact with John McCain's son Jack, who I find to be a good guy and have a lot in common with. But it's hard for me to not hold my dislike of his father against him. I feel bad for the crap people say to him when they don't like what his dad does in politics, like he has any control over it. But I get their side of it too. I guess I'd rather assume that Jack is his own man. He doesn't stump for his dad, which I find honorable.

    Had a fun sequence during our scrimmage tonight. I'm starting to get comfortable on my skates again so I'm starting to make some plays. Anyway, our goalie came wayyyy out of the net to play the puck and botched it. I saw he couldn't get back in time so I skated hard for the net and got there just in time to make a kick save on a shot from the high slot. The bench is howling. So I go after the guy with the puck in the corner, strip it, take it up the boards, chip it around the defender at the point, and then around the weak side defender at center ice who had slid over to cover up, skated in and put a shot on net. I didn't score but was pretty pleased with myself going from our net to theirs without completely screwing it up :blush:

    Fair, but, also what ink said. I assume they can do defense evaluation pretty good. I'm worried about positions of need on offense.

    The Tolbert experiment and the Peterman experiment are why I'm super worried about letting McBeane draft for this team. I'm not confident in their talent evaluation at all.

    How was screen visibility? The pictures on their website make it seem like the screen would be tough to enjoy from the very back.

    That Chargers game is going to be all they talk about on WGR for the entire off-season. I may remove the radio from my car entirely.

    Vegas takes over the 1 spot in the Western Pacific division. Unreal. That division is a mess, but that is quite the accomplishment for an expansion team.

    I don't even know if a Cuse accent is a thing. Buffalo is this mix of Canada and the Midwest, and Rochester is a little more watered down version of the Midwest style. But Cuse is just kinda out there with Utica and the rest of CNY. It's like how no one has a Vermont accent. That's CNY.

    Watched Baby Driver tonight. The first half was great, the second half sucked. I'm a big fan of the "wheelman" genre of movies. And the most important theme is that the driver is always the smartest one. The criminals are idiots but the driver is clever. So they take Baby, a really charming and likeable character, and then have him make a series of really bad/out of character choices whereby he shoots himself in the foot while trying to escape a world that was obviously going to be harder to escape than by simply driving away. Baby is smarter than that. A bunch of uninteresting gunplay and some murdering happens and then he goes to prison but it's okay because he's white and then he gets parole after only 5 years and his waitress girlfriend is a rich Lana Del Rey knockoff now or something THE END. What a waste of a good concept. Can't say I'd watch it again. Baby deserved better.
