Just because no one else on this team is any good doesn't make Evander Kane more valuable. It's not like his production here is a revelation. He had plenty of good seasons for Atlantapeg and that didn't stop them from wanting to move on from him.

I think he'd take his chances. Either way, I don't think Botterill will give him another "prove it" offer. I think his agent will have a convincing case that he has proven it. Lehner is getting a long term deal at a nice price from someone. But I don't know if it'll be this team. Which is why I would trade him. Let some other team pay him. His status as an RFA is attractive I think.

Started watching Ash vs Evil Dead the other day. The first few episodes were a little slow. Fan service, setup, etc. But it really takes off in episode 3. Episode 4 is a friggin masterpiece. Bruce Campbell, for all his camp, is not the best actor. Never has been. But when the supporting cast really gets going it makes him better. Also, Lucy Lawless looks great for 49. Great casting choice for that character.

I suspect you're right. If I'm Housley and Botterill I've already made my conclusions about the makeup of this team. At this point it's just going to be trying to play guys where they are supposed to fit and hope for the best.

I couldn't be more pleased. I'd be fine with just making it through the season at this point.
