  1. I expressed similar sentiment. But things are probably more complicated than Housley simply being bad all on his own. That said, I think it's possible that he was terrible and probably worse than even Bylsma.
  2. +1 Ice jerseys is the only place I will buy jerseys.
  3. Every game for this team is a test right now. Columbus is beatable, just like Pitt and NJ.
  4. I'm already bought in to be honest. They're playing the game right so far. I'll just un-buy in if that stops.
  5. That McCabe thing is killing me. It's so good.
  6. I didn't think they'd be good right now!
  7. This is good.
  8. I think it's fair to say that Sobotka did not contribute on the offensive side of the puck despite solid play on the defensive side.
  9. Hitting the road for Detroit in a few hours with @josie, @sabills and his wife, to see the Black Keys. The four of us haven't road-tripped in forever. We're going to get to spend tomorrow exploring Detroit too, which I'm excited to do since I haven't been there since RIT went to the Frozen Four back in 2010.
  10. I loved Static X. What a sound that was. When I think of the late 90s/early 2000s I think of them, KMFDM, Fear Factory, and Pitchshifter.
  11. He certainly made a case last night for his remaining here. It'll be interesting to see if it holds up.
  12. Yup. Because it's terrible.
  13. Risto looked good. I didn't see him wandering out of position as much and he seemed content to play a more defensive game. I think the Krueger approach of "handle your responsibilities and let your teammates handle theirs" might benefit a guy like Risto the most. I didn't get the impression he was trying to put the team on his back like he usually does. He seems to pair well with McCabe, who had a much more noticeable game last night.
  14. The only thing that could make the 4th line better is not having Okposo on it.
  15. I don't think we could hang against a team like Vegas yet, but a team like the Pens is right in our wheelhouse.
  16. During the WGR pregame they interviewed Jack and he talked about just trying to play his game and have some fun and try not to put all the pressure on himself, and what I saw tonight was exactly that. There's a fine line between being responsible for your own game by giving a good individual effort, and trying to do too much. I think a lot of guys these last few years have tried too hard to do too much on their own when what they needed to be doing was trying to do their jobs within reasonable bounds and trusting their teammates to do theirs.
  17. Hard to ask for a better first game than that
