First episode of The Mandalorian was very good. I'm going to struggle waiting for the new episode every week. The twist at the end sets up some wacky possibilities for the story they're going to tell. It's really great to see the legendary Mandalorians get their due. It almost feels like it might have some Tolkian-esque high fantasy to it. Also, it's a Runescape quest.

They're in cap hell on defense. Way too much salary tied up there already. Maybe they'd want some of our pending UFA forwards + Mittelstadt for a forward or two in order to put them in a better cap spot in the offseason?

I don't think anyone here wouldn't waive Gilmour. But I think the consensus is that Botterill likes him and doesn't want to expose him to waivers because he would get claimed.

Have you looked at the schedule? Maybe they pick up a win in the Toronto home and home, but they could easily lose to Carolina, Boston, Florida, Tampa, Calgary, and Toronto. This is a tough month and they're already 0-4.

Are you sure about this? I can't imagine the NHLPA being super happy with a player being exiled to LTIR even if they're healthy. How does that even square with the whole rule about teams not being able to keep a player on IR if they're declared healthy?

It's not like Jeremy's source is ever right, but either way, "end of the month" is not the right timeline for a team that could go 3-11 in November if they don't find some goal scoring.
