  1. Bianca Bogosian? I wonder how you and Radar have lasted this long. I honestly don't get the sentiment. Eichel is the one who will end your fandom?
  2. That looked familiar.
  3. This contract is going to look very good in the rear-view mirror. Back to you, Irv!
  4. I bought some free-range brown eggs and got these weird brown flecks when I cracked them. I've seen these flecks in free-range/cage-free/organic eggs but never in regular old (cheap) commercial eggs. So I had to google it. Before eating. It's blood from a ruptured vessel as the egg is forming in the reproductive tract. Lovely. I got most of it out, no mean feat, but couldn't get the idea of it out of my mind as I ate the eggs. So much for doing the right thing.
  5. I thought you were worldly. That's a Maddow.
  6. I think I know what KPIs are.
  7. I'd feel more comfortable speaking to him or her directly.
  8. I've had three cut open and drained. They invert your eyelids. Pretty cool. I don't remember mine being painful. They say hot compresses can help, but they didn't help me. I saw an eye doctor for dry eye and she straightened me out and I haven't had one since. Cleaning of the eyelids with hypochlorous acid seems to do the trick. It reduces the bacterial load and keeps the oil-producing meibomian gland orifices open (and the cleaning of the lids with a Q-tip might manually move the stagnant oil around). Hot compresses followed by gently massaging/expressing the glands and omega 3 supplements (flaxseed or fish oil seem to improve the viscosity of the oil) also might help. Low dose antibiotics (low enough that they don't even have antibacterial properties) reduce inflammation if the underlying problem is posterior blepharitis. Do you have rosacea? Dry eye? Woody and Brawndo might give out advice for free, but I want paid for this *****!
  9. Master of the strawman. Strawmaster, perhaps. Not to speak for PF, but the criticism isn't about having a marketing department. It's of the need to "develop" a fanbase in what is universally considered a great hockey market. Only one thing is missing, and we all know what it is. If Guinness started making ***** beer, you wouldn't insult the people of Ireland by naming a director of drinker development.
  10. Not true, but so what? What's it to ya? And if I need some kind of intervention, it's hilarious that you're the one always trying to lead the way. (Obvious example: I was an early and maybe the first adopter of Krueger, while most others were Debbie Downers. I still think he's the best hope for a turnaround. I tried to have a little fun with a nickname, and the board management chose to auto correct it to his full title and name.)
  11. The expected fall wave appears to have started based on seven day averages. This time instead of starting from a baseline of 0 average daily cases or a little over 20,000 average daily cases, we started at about 35,000 daily cases. There's no telling where this wave tops out.
  12. Punch like Cossack hat more than beaver, no?
  13. In summary, the one thing people want to read less than me talking about Terry again is people talking about me talking about Terry again.
  14. I'm still waiting for the Sabres to win a Cup (or any title) under Terry so I can face this dreadful choice. I look forward to that day. AND... I remain, I think, the only SSer who ever sent the man a Christmas card.
  15. Finally I'm on record several times saying the Sabres had close to the perfect owner, if only he would squash his hockey ego, developed in Olean according to my sources when he was involved in youth hockey, an ego that lets him believe he can run an NHL team. And I hold the board record for positive assertions that this franchise is destined to win a Cup. The vast majority of my posts aren't about Terry. Come to a GDT thread. Go Leafs!
  16. Maybe I didn't want to piss is in anyone's Cheerios. I try to emulate your positivity and good cheer. The trade didn't do much for me. Kind of on the fence. I didn't post until I saw the video. Actually I DID, to generally give Adams the benefit of the doubt. But your weird, longstanding and intensely personal vendetta against me didn't allow you to see it. I'll wait for the apology.
  17. I'm not moving to Canada. Sorry, guys.
  18. The organization is not the franchise. A presidential administration is not the country. If you can't see the difference, I don't know what to tell you. Yes, I truly despise this organization (read: the owners and their people).
  19. Watch this video if you want to see the Sabres franchise in the eyes, face and voice of a player. "We'll see what happens." This is a guy who would rather retire but someone won't let him leave 3.25 on the table.
  20. Not studied in humans yet. Coming soon. But the article was written by Brian Dunleavy, so it's a fine combination of glib and dull. Too bad snark can't be used as an anti-viral!
  21. With rubber hoses, at that.
  22. He was a marginal player because that's how hockey people in Chicago and Buffalo treated him. I suppose you described him as a dominating presence in goal in 1992 and openly predicted his entrance into the Hall of Fame. This is dumb. Everyone knows when Dom became The Dominator.
