  1. Lucky for you we are so ignorant, innit? Could you muster up one nice thing to say about us? It's the very definition of neutral news.
  2. I finally come around to your view and then you take the opposite just to spite me.
  3. As to the coaching search or lack thereof, I wonder if the new COO will be a game changer. If he has any disrupter in him at all, and if Terry's all about the bottom line now, it wouldn't be hard to make the argument that the Sabres have to start selling something more than hope. A name coach and a new style of play. Lindy probably fits the bill. I don't see KA going anywhere... Yet.
  4. Given how the Wings have been playing, falling short of their season pace in the last 11 games is reasonable. So let's say they get 11 points. The Caps have been coming on but their SOS is a problem for them. So 13 points for them. My cutoff is lower than yours. It's happening.
  5. I'll go perhaps farther than you and say the Sabres will get within one to three points of a berth before falling short. The Florida finish will be the coup de gras.
  6. The Bruins were finished. As were the Lightning. Some predicted the Isles demise and they're still better than we are.
  7. Cutoff? It's a made up moving target. I never understood why you used season point pace and not last 10 games or... Something else. Absolutely. It's what they do.
  8. Caps then Isles winning and Sabres flaming out would go a long way toward ending it. Kinda surprised Thorny is giving up so soon. I don't see how the Sabres' spot is that much more hopeless than when he laid out his case. Sabres have two home games against Washington and Washington's schedule is tough, for example. Wings' sked is even worse and Sabres still play them. And if the Sabres do enough to get past both the Wings and Caps, the Isles and Devs shouldn't be a factor. 9-2 could get it done.
  9. FWIW Accuweather's forecast for 4/8 is not good but perhaps contains a glimmer of hope over two weeks out.
  10. From astronomy.com... One of the more intriguing aspects of the satellite cloud measurements is the presence of fewer clouds along the south shore of Lakes Erie and Ontario. This reduction — as much as 15 percent — is due to the influence of the lakes, which suppress the formation of convective clouds along their south shores when cold winds blow from the north. Clouds form when the ground is warmed, but the air must travel a short distance inland before the warming takes hold. The effect is quite limited, as the map shows, and so eclipse watchers should also watch the weather and head for the lakes’ shores if that cold flow is forecast. This pattern greatly favors Cleveland, and Buffalo and Rochester, New York, as eclipse-viewing sites....
  11. Better chance of clear skies near the lake? Is this a thing?
  12. Then we will overtake Philly. Easy.
  13. Major operations in my home have ended. In the battle with Temptations, PA has prevailed.
