  1. That's what I'm talking about. :) (no, I didn't, back to Google for me!)
  2. The Zamboni driver is doing a pretty piss-poor job.
  3. I'm curious, how do we know they haven't been doing this all along and this is just the first glimpse that we're getting?
  4. Wow, both Buffalo games, then sell the tickets to some Pittsburgh fans for the black game.
  5. I'd give the nod to Martin and Robert just because that line is iconic for several years running. But, yeah, I don't see Patty (most poeple would consider him an Islander or Ranger, not a Sabre) or Gare as being on that level.
  6. Good God, the man likes to have fun! We can't have that.
  7. I think the problem with Brennan is he needs to pass waivers if he is sent down. If Finley gets picked up by the Fisherman, I can't imagine Brennan sees Rochester. For that matter, I think the Sabres have 8-9 D that need to pass waivers, so they need to do *something* or risk losing someone.
  8. Yeah, it can get old. I know a few places that I'll sometimes find a few Sabres fans, but they're not convenient. You're over near Harrisburg, right? If you ever want to meet in Lancaster for a game with the bf, let me know. :) This year? Last year too. :wallbash:
  9. I'm with you there. Last year, I went the GameCenter (via PS3 app), no cable, and used some of the money saved to buy drinks when I'm out at the bar watching the cable-only games. :) I've been tempted to install a Slingbox at my parents' house lately though.

    The Charts

If it were me, I'd start with (48/82) * 93 ( = 54) for the 'playoff point pace' line. That's the only one that's not relative to the other teams. Granted, for the short season it could be that more games go to OT because teams are working harder to come back.
  11. Yeah, I lived down in St Mary's County for awhile (western shore, 70 miles South of Annapolis). There were a few places down there that were all amazing. FWIW, Steve's Pig and Ox Roast on Ridge Rd in Lackawanna isn't bad for Pit Beef. https://plus.google.com/101714451467950298494/about
  12. I'd be surprised if they had CI overseas, but I could well be wrong. While it sucks, I get it. NBC is paying big bucks to have the exclusive rights to hockey-eyeballs in the US (and someone else has those same rights in Canada). Sucks for the fans, but it pays the NHLs and teams' bills.
  13. Correct, if last year is to go by, CI/GC will not show you any playoff games, since they're all on cable/sat somewhere (which sucks because I don't have cable). I thought, though, that during the playoffs NBC and it's hench-networks (MSNBC, CNBC, etc.) did have every game on though (which is why they aren't on CI/GC).
  14. The Pit Beef sandwiches at Camden Yards are pretty good too.
  15. I lucked out, my friend's Dad loves the stuff so he was giving out a pile of them at Christmas.
  16. Nope, you're right about that. Discussing 'lines' with Ruff is foolhardy. I just don't know if Hecht being familiar or $RANDOM_CENTER would realistically make a difference. FWIW, at least when injuries happen with Ruff, everyone is used to playing with everyone else.
  17. The WGR guys made a couple of interesting points: at $1m, if the Sabres end up sending Hecht down to Rochester (as unlikely as that'd be), it would be a very minimal cap hit since the first $900k doesn't count. The other one was that people are mad because it's Hecht. If you said "veteran wing, can play center, chips in 10-15 goals, plays on shut-down line and PK, for $1m", we'd be pretty happy. Sure, I'd prefer more grit, but we can't have everything.
  18. There's two. I went on my first date with my fiancé at the Main St one (right off the 90/290). Girl, pretty, likes good beer? It was a good start. :) I haven't been to the other one.
  19. While I can't think of a better line-up, Grigorenko has no business being on a traditional 3rd line (the one that goes up against the opponent's best line). I think he starts on a wing, maybe swapping Pommers and him, but Pommers and Vanek play well together.
  20. A noon game against Philly screams NBC to me. Either way (Comcast or NBC), I'll get to see the first game of the year out with friends, which is awesome. That'll be interesting to see which teams show up.
  21. I get what you're saying, but the Sabres need to fill a few holes on their own roster before they worry much about Rochester. Maybe Leopold + Adam for a gritty and mildly talented center + an AHL prospect or two and maybe picks. Rochester has Centers playing wing, Buffalo has wings playing center. The latter is a bigger problem.
  22. Sounds like you should have chosen one of those two. I gamed a lot when I was younger (high-school), but haven't spent serious time on a video game in 20 years. As I get older, I'm starting to see the concept of a free-time budget. You have to work (or go to school), you have to sleep. After that, it's all about choices. Buy a house: one free time share. Watch TV regularily: another free time share. Work out: you know the drill. If I were you, I'd ditch the gaming and continue partying. :) There's nothing like the partying when you're young.
