  1. Wait so 2 NBC games today and no Doc & Pierre. Sweet. I get it but this one is different to me. The Oct 1 tragedy, the GM nailing it, the atmosphere at their arena, the true team they have vs tank-ology, there's just so much to like.
  2. Same, that was awesome. Good on NBC for showing it too. I'll be there in May for work...hmmmmm.
  3. It's still 18.5% chance + the other 2 picks. From DieByTheBlade: Best case of getting a top three pick will be 64.55% [‘#1’ pick 185/1000] + [#2 pick (if 30th team gets #1 pick) 185/865] + [#3 pick (if 29th team gets #2 pick) 185/750] = 64.55% https://www.diebytheblade.com/2018/4/28/17128884/2018-nhl-draft-lottery-team-odds-buffalo-sabres-probability-rasmus-dahlin-how-to-watch-time-channel
  4. It's a great win. Especially given Yonge St today. * the Bruins.
  5. Right! "roughing" and "roughing". Wow. Suspension worthy really, but no, offsetting roughing somehow.
  6. I saw him play in his first or second game, paired w/ Paetsch, looked very solid. Big body, skates well, physical in crease. Just one game, but Risto-lite if I may. Not so surprised w/ scratch, go w/ vets / guys who have been there all season. Rough start though, maybe he gets a chance tomorrow.
  7. And Foligno on 4th line with lowest ice time amongst their fwds. Lots of spare parts out there.
  8. No love for Ovi!?! San Jose agree, and last night Winnipeg was awesome. I googled "Tyler Ennis" wondering what his current story is. Top of fold results all about the basketball player. Oof. Ocho cinco I get but Ennis too? Surprised.
  9. Wow Randall fantastic write-up! Pulling for Nashville because some Roc friends have moved there. And Washington because it would be nice to see #8 w/ a cup before he's done. Homer in me noticed you don't have Callahan or Gionta in their respective line-ups. Would think both would contribute to 3/4th line or PK. And thanks Joker for schedule.
  10. The 1 second? Yeah idk. The helmet cam was cool.
  11. Melrose? He's not bad tho. I'm all in for Minn Duluth, boo to the big football schools. Sweet move + 2nd chance for Swaney there.
  12. Well then maybe this is the year we get the #1 pick. 18% chance is not good, but man we are due for a break.
  13. What's left of the sparse crowd booing at buzzer (good). Rick & Razer "fans treated them so well this year, players waiting for fan appreciation night". Please let this be the last year of suck. Please please please.
  14. Up the Irons! Well done to you both. Did you see this item announced earlier this week? http://www.ign.com/articles/2018/03/27/iron-maiden-pinball-machine-revealed-first-images-and-details-from-stern Sweet. Opening day or baseball in general? Started drifting back that way end of last season after a couple decades away. Not sure what that means, getting old I guess.
  15. He sad on WGR a friend suggested it. All his old #s were taken. Schopp suggested Bergeron as best ever #37 and he agreed "yeah, thought of him". I'm struggling with his choice of shirt here. Did he borrow it from Terry? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DZUYOOaVMAAlpii.jpg:large
  16. Anyone else get the pull-up picture when they google "sabres roster"? https://www.google.com/search?ei=cZq6WsCMLYGa_QbapZSYBQ&q=buffalo+sabres+roster&oq=buffalo+sabres+roster Pretty funny. Google algorithms telling us stuff.
  17. Good. Baptiste, Guhle and Nelson as well please. Time to get playoff line-up sorted and ready.
  18. Laughed out loud, truly. Seriously though, I'm so over getting excited about 18-20 year olds with no pro experience. He's welcome to pull the jersey on, and hopefully he improves the team. That's about it.
  19. I was pulling for Cornell. Farrance from Victor with the gwg for BU was bittersweet. I can't bring myself to root for Boston teams so Denver here forward I guess. Either way enjoying the tournament. Oh and no Sabres that I see - http://collegehockeyinc.com/nhl-draft-picks-playing-college-hockey.php
  20. Playoffs?!?!?! https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/2018/03/22/amerks-doorstep-first-playoff-berth-3-seasons/450999002/ They can do so Friday with a victory over Binghamton combined with a Laval loss of any type to Charlotte. The Amerks also clinch by earning one point against Binghamton and a Laval regulation loss.
  21. Yup Bonaventure at 10 too. Agree pi - why bring him up if he's not going to play.
  22. Good stuff. Again on Zemgus (6'1''), since he's a #1 pick (sprinkle in GM's ego) and has size, only 61 AHL games and 17 points then "come on up kid!". NHL ppg is .29. I saw a bunch of his AHL games, he did stand out, but so did Flynn and my fav Corey Tropp, etc. And there's Larsson (5'10'') AHL 157 45 73 118 .75 NHL ppg is .25 Again I'm optimistic this guy is exactly what JBot wants - trajectory, solid foundation, step by step = confidence and ability to repeat success vs "wow this guy is bigger faster stronger than his peers at 18 years old."
  23. I keep coming back to Larsson and Zemgus. They are a big part of the problem here. Score some gd goals! O'Regan isn't going to be less productive than they are. Hopefully he'll be much better. 2012 draft 20/20 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_NHL_Entry_Draft Grigorenko - 12 Girgs - 14 McCabe - 44 Seth Griffith - 131 O'Regan - 138 Ullmark - 163
