  1. Celsius in science is cool. Celsius for air temperature discussion sucks balls.
  2. It would be hard to pick just one, but being a member of a policy driven think tank would be cool. A position where you had a staff to bring you data and then you sit around with really smart people and try to come up with real solutions to problems based upon data and best practices.
  3. Tampa being the city of champions is an assault on every sports lovers sensibilities. F that.
  4. Honestly, it’s really hard to believe you’re getting pushback on this.
  5. What is Staal going to say? “Don’t do it - I’m a dog...”?
  6. Given the difference between the regular season and the playoffs, you don’t really know what you have until you play in the post-season do you?
  7. A no look pass at that…
  8. We all made it. Great time!!!
  9. Any chance you are in town? Because by chance it’s still available.
  10. I’m not aware of this phenomenon young healthy people. I’ve heard of it in older people. That’s why I was suggesting that soft tissue damage seemed more likely.
  11. This sounds sinister, but is it really? If Granato was RKv2, in both style and substance, don’t you think he would be gone also? Can it also be said that Granatos time behind the bench and his time in front of the fan base earned him the opportunity and most just recognized it?
  12. I cannot fathom how someone taking a slapshot would break their own rib. Soft tissue injury? Absolutely. Breaking a bone? If that’s the case, he should be tested for cancer. As for the neck, my armchair opinion is that these problems don’t occur instantaneously with a healthy disk. The problems occur after there’s already some previous damage to the disk.
  13. Refuse to lose? What does that even mean? What did Fleury’s idiocy have to do with Montreal refusing to lose?
  14. Sorry. It’s been up for days. 🤷🏻 We certainly would have rather had Buffalo fan with us.
  15. Nope. It was sold on seatgeek. 😕
  16. That’s what I assumed, but I don’t think your comment read like that. It read as if the model was incorrect as opposed to what your intent was.
  17. Maybe I don’t know what you mean. Are you saying the model is wrong or are you saying the player isn’t as good because the model doubts their star power?
  18. You may want to rephrase that.
  19. Jack was trained by Mike Boyle. Look him up. He’s known worldwide. He emphasizes safety to a fault. Big unilateral instead of bilateral guy.
  20. Credit: public acknowledgment or praise, typically that given or received when a person's responsibility for an action or idea becomes or is made apparent. Technically yes. Ralph would get public acknowledgment for his responsibility. I doubt you will see this on his mantle though.
  21. Jack.
  22. As fans, here is what we know. Jack Eichel cannot play hockey until someone sees him play hockey again or there is some definitive statement that he will be ready in the short term.
  23. I think we are clearly close enough that my suggestion that Dylan Cozens is a tank asset just like Jack. We have a long way to go before someone can suggest anything about butterflies flapping their wings. I mean if we were bad because of the tank, and we got these players because we were bad then this is just stating the obvious.
  24. Just like you don’t know the outcome would’ve been last place, no one knows if we would’ve actually been 13th or 14th with a rebuild. Given the state of our team, it’s just as easy to think we would be in last anyway. Unless you’re a grand plan to rebuild around Thomas Vanek, Jason Pominville, and Ryan Miller was a foolproof strategy.
