Fair enough. I would probably apply occam‘s razor here. I believe the guy is injured and I believe there is a disagreement how it should be addressed as reported. So, regardless of any dissatisfaction, I think it’s the primary driver.

It’s a closely guarded secret isn’t it? All I can say is that contemplation of that surgery is a strong indication of how serious it is. I had planned to get the same surgery because I had lost 40% of the strength in my left arm and it was numb 24/7. I was afraid of losing its use. When the numbness went away I vanquished the thought of that surgery.

Why does the injury concern have to be the primary one? Los Angeles or New York or Carolina doesn’t really care why Adams wants to move Jack. Their only concern is his ability to play up to a $10 million a year contract.
-
I would say wait for the Carolina topic.

I’m not sure who you are responding to, but the totality of your post says he is untradable.

While all you greedy SOBs are trading second overall pick, generational player Jack Eichel… The team you are trading with is actually receiving broken Jack Eichel and his jacked up neck and $50M in future salary. I’m not confident anyone here is baking in that risk. The same risk that causes him to be on the trading block in the first place.

Stick work checks out.

What are you talking about? i’m saying using an example from 50 years ago isn’t the best way to back up an argument.

50 years ago, NFL kickers ran straight at the ball and kicked it with their toe. Times change man.

I have not seen this reported in NFL players. Maybe it has, but I haven’t seen it. And let’s be clear, if this surgery fails, the rest of the contract is going to be paid. I don’t pay attention to the details, but what is this, $50 million? -

Overseas that surgery is about $12,000 with the best doctors in Europe. In America, maybe it’s $100,000 with insurance. Whoever said that made a ridiculous statement. -
Wait… They’re not the same thing?

Now I got it. Thanks. I wasn’t thinking about that when reading the reference. Being thick is my superpower. -

I don’t doubt it. Spines are funny. There are MRI scans that look horrendous where people are pain-free and then there are others with minor protrusions that cause crippling pain. I had my own lower back issues that took multiple years to clear up. But I don’t know what it looks like now either. I doubt neither one of us would be able to give comfort to Jack. -
Has there been an update to the injury?
-
Given the Jack Quinn pick, Adams is going to take the guy he wants without thought of anyone else.

I don’t think you can just prescribe vague remedies here. From the research I have done for my own purposes, the larger the herniation the more likely it will be reabsorbed (counter intuitive) and that reabsorption mainly occurs within six months. After that, I have not read any source that says additional rest changes the physical attributes of the herniation. -
I love them as much as I love a piece of pizza that is 75% cheese.
