  1. Past hour
  2. Mews just put up 82pts in 68 OHL games in his D+1. I will worry about him being an RHD some other time if they want to use him as part of the trade.
  3. I think the Eichel neck surgery debacle is way under represented in the damage it did to the organization reputation, and that was all on Terry. Very few players will now trust ownership that they have the best interest of the players in mind, including basic health decisions. Oh yeah, and the owner is also cheap.
  4. Reminds of Ruhwedal. A guy that looks ok but nothing special. In the right situation he could build a career. Of course, there's literally dozens of Ruhwedals every year that don't get the same opportunity and end up going to Europe for a couple of years then come back, settle down, and end up selling cars. Hope he makes it, because he could easily have left the Sabres high and dry.
  5. I hear you.... his sample size is too small i think for a honest opinion. I have liked him since he was in college. Not huge but really smart with angles and very rarely out of position. Would love to see him get a fair shake to see if he was worth the hassle as he almost did not come to Buffalo after college.
  6. No he’s barely shown anything to date. Maybe he plays out like Mark Pysyk. Nothing flashy but does what the job requires.
  7. Are Ryan Johnson & Zac Jones ahead of him on the depth chart? It seems that way.
  8. Hope Nikita Novikov really works on his foot speed all offseason. We'll probably need him at some point.
  9. I don’t know. He didn’t impress me at all when Ive seen him play. This guys screams not good enough to stick to me. Another Bryson, really.
  10. "Hi Terrry, my what a fantastic looking Yacht you have. Is that marble? You are so amazing, really your greatness is only restricted by the lame coverage the Sabres broadcast has. I think for next year I can save you about 5-10million against the cap so you can pay for more Yacht parties and maintain your lifestyle. Here's a bottle of red wine and can I just say your complexion looks great today." - Adams "Why thank you, carry on." - Terry That's it, that was the entire "presentation". There's just no f-ing way that Kevyn Adams put together any sort of comprehensive plan because if he were capable of such a thing, we would have seen it. Instead what we see is every new coach that appears, changes what Adams does. From Barf to Donny to Lindy, every time we change coaches, Adams suddenly about faces on the types of players he wants. I mean we even got a little Jarmo tossed in this time with Danforth getting signed. Adams has no ideas, it is why he seeks out all these other opinions because he isn't smart enough to come up with things on his own. It is why his trades for the most part look off. Utah has 3 2nd round picks in 2026 but Adams didn't have those in his brain when he made the trade, so we didn't get them. Adams didn't want JBD but got him because Ottawa wanted Gilbert and since it wasn't part of the "plan" Adams just let him walk away. He's completely incapable of being ruthless with other GMs and thin skinned when it comes to questions of his own incompetence and assembling anything that could be called a coherent team. Even if they make the playoffs this year (big if) it won't be because of Kevyn Adams, it will be in spite of him. Terry wants a lapdog so he can ignore the Sabres and bask in the glow of Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. Our only real hope is that Lindy isn't so old and out of touch that he knows what types of players to get and that Jarmo and the analytics team finally overcome the forton/nightengale group. Otherwise we will continue to toss away good players for peanuts and make up excuses that all center on the fact after 6 off-seasons, Adams is still just blowing in the wind and winning is the only thing that will fix things here.
  11. I'd imagine 3yr 775K from Buffalo would indicate that even Buffalo doesn't really see him as an NHL player.
  12. I would totally agree with you and raised your damaged to officially rebranded... I think the Sabres brand as we knew it from way back has been damaged, burned down and the site cleaned with a new brand that has been fully rebuilt and marketed... And it is exactly what you said... Tag line: We are the champions of dysfunction and career destruction... come here to take it easy and lose and feel free to make your late April tee times well in advance. Its to the point that I literally am suspicious of intent for anyone that is a legitimate Vet that wants to come here... because I am like why would you do that... do you not have this burning desire to win ? Cause I want you too... younger players I get fine... they get an opportunity at getting an enhanced role etc... But after this, literally how long are the "Core" players going to want to stay here... when , and I suspect its this year, are they going to see the obvious that Pegula and Adams don't see that we are a failed organization with a failed model. That we have a Meddling hockey Buffoon for an owner only to be redeemed by there is literally no hope of changing any of this while the current FO is in place. And if they don't already realize it, when they do... why would they not want out... Alex Tuch will be a great measuring stick if he chooses out. A Regional guy, that came in with heart and soul and wanting to be part of the solution watching his old team win a cup and his friends who got their get out of Jail cards win as well... choose to stay or go... I fear there will be blood on the locker room floor and when it the dam breaks its gonna be ugly. Think of Tuch not resigning and Thompson and Dahlin forcing an ill equipped GM to trade them for what inevitably will be far less than they are worth. Dahlin has already had meetings with the GM, I don't know what was said, but to me there we rumblings of discontent and frustration, Thompson has said he has heard the chatter and was less than glowing in his assessment of "the response"... to the hit and the overall future... as Adams continues to blame the problems on Palm Trees... If I am a vet on the inside looking at this uninspired FA period to date I am certainly not building hope for a turn around... secured with the knowledge that we literally cannot trade for needle moving vets because the refuse to come here, and that getting someone in FA to move the needle is either impossible or we simply lack the will to do it... as we cut costs... If there is not immediate success this upcoming season, I could see this going downhill really really fast...
  13. I read that they don't agree with Zary about his next contract, it might be they are sending him away instead. But rumours as usual ofcourse.
  14. I with you. He seems like a tweener but guess we'll see.
  15. Johnson got buried for some reason. Hope he plays to the potential that he was showing for a long time.
  16. I think he is better than Bryson. His desire to be in the top 6 is probably considered a problem by KA as Bryson is OK on the sidelines hanging with the guys.
  17. I believe that you hit on what the source of the Docker decision was: a preference for Johnson. We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out. The bigger and more consequential decision on the blueline relates to what is the organization going to do with Byram. I'm starting to lean towards keeping him, especially if they can't get a second-line player for him.
  18. Yes..... He really is a smart defensively sound kid! He looked good when called up. He never should have been sent back with what we had up here. Not flashy, but steady. That kind of defenseman where you do not hear his name much.
  19. What love are you talking about? The fringe is getting magnified into something bigger than what it is. If I had to make a choice between having Docker or Bryson, I would decisively take Docker. I suspect that the decision to not sign Docker was primarily a Ruff decision.
  20. I am with you on JBD. BUT, i am glad they look like they are finally going to start using Johnson!!!
  21. All quiet on the non-palm tree front rumor of cgy heavily into Byram but not sure what they could send us back of equal value?! I don’t see the match
  22. Same. So if the offers suck, play him. U can always move him later.
  23. Today
  24. Not a significant loss, but I rather have him as #7 than Bryson. Not sure what the love for him is
  25. I thought the sabres were looking to make big moves? We got any rumors to get our hopes up?
  26. As I said in prior posts, I liked Docker. I would have preferred to have kept him. I’m baffled as to why he was dispatched. I strongly suspect that this was a Ruff influenced decision. However, this wasn’t a significant loss in the grand scheme of things.
