  1. Past hour
  2. People get all fired up over golf. I play and drink a bit and have a cigar, I'm truly awful, like shooting well over 100 for 18, that probably includes some kicks out of the thick stuff. When peeps are too serious I just let them play through because I'm in no rush. I typically stay to rural courses where it isn't so busy like near the city. I've seen so many "tussles" mostly between old cranky men that would never throw down, but would love to see this go down. Also, such very Canadian accents 😂😂 like letterkenny going down.
  3. Montreal might be somewhat of a paper tiger. They had a -20 goal differential which is the same as Buffalo and only 1 better than Detroit. That is worse than Calgary, Utah, Seattle, Minnesota, and Vancouver. Their defense is certainly better with Dobson. Lane Hutson is the perfect example of talent can trump size when it is elite. That is the biggest improvement to their team other than more experience. They got above average GT last year which really helped them as well, once they moved away from Cayden Primeau. The one thing I wonder about them is their forward group. Will it continue to have the depth scoring to be good? FTR, I am not saying Montreal won't make the playoffs or can't. They are just an interesting group because they have similarities to Buffalo but they got timely gt where Buffalo did not. They were able to sneak in even with some flaws and they are probably better now. Just an interesting team to watch to see if they hold onto their spot or if they can be beaten.
  4. The Bills were rarely a bottom 5 team during their 17 year playoff drought. They were endlessly in the 6-10/7-9/8-8 zone. Not the worst but not good enough. Limbo.
  5. Real recognizes real. This does not look staged at all.
  6. Actually, Brodie is such a good complimentary piece. he was on a STACKED U of Minn team. Snuggerud, Wood, Moore, Rinzel, and he was 7th on that team in points which for a mostly 18yr old (late Feb bday) is pretty solid. Ziemer and Helenius are both 5'11" 190lbs and play similar games.
  7. They’re hedging their bets with multiple options at least. I think that’s fair
  8. Is that the consensus? Actually asking, have not seen those discussions. Would it surprise you to learn that 9 teams have had worse records than the Buffalo Sabres over the past four years, who have never finished bottom five in that span? In answer to your question, not sure if it was bottom 5 in the league, but Montreal was consensus last in the division just this year and surprised. (Before anyone jumps on me for defending the Sabres, they suck, I’m just responding to his post.)
  9. I think Brody Ziemer is one of those guys that if you keep him and you use patience, you may end up with the perfect 3rd line winger. We're talking 40pts and just nasty to play against. I love me some Ziemer.
  10. Best thing Sabres related I’ve seen in years. Sign him Kevyn. In the best least, have him give motivational speeches between periods.
  11. Probably staged like everything else on the internet.
  12. i think this is when the younger crowd would say "fafo"
  13. If you don't have a baseline competency for what you expect of the president of the united states, or even a baseline level of morality you would expect that position to show towards their own citizenry, I can't give you one and frankly I can't help you at all. You are essentially abdicating your rights as a citizen and your responsibility therein to play fence sitter, which doesn't mean you are in the middle. It means you have already chosen a side.

  15. Or the part where he pushes them both away and they get tangled up like bumbling idiots.
  16. That's the central issue. Players elect to leave teams for a number of reasons. He was an UFA and under a contract status that allowed him to have choices. If he were determined to leave, the team had no control to keep him. What the GM didn't do is come up with a reasonable option just in case he did choose to leave. What happened shouldn't have been a surprise to the organization because he was an UFA who hadn't signed. What compounds the loss even more is that the GM hasn't adequately filled that hole since he left. (As you point out.)
  17. Today
  18. "You have to be ultra-competitive in the goalie room but also be supportive at the same time."
  19. Good post. I think McLeod will probably drop down to around 45pts but I don't see any reason why his 2way play would regress at all. Looking forward to McLeod being another year older with all the experience he got last year.
  20. How long were those guys on that green because the other group had enough time to hit into them, drive up, wait, and then start ***** talking.
  21. 2Cs on playoff teams (based on ice time): Draisaitl 106 points, +32, 21:31 Tavares 74 points, +10, 18:14 Hischier 69 points, +9, 20:23 Hintz 67 points, +18, 16:53 Dubois 66 points, +27, 17:18 Hertl 61 points, -3, 17:07 Rossi 60 points, +15, 18:15 Cirelli 59 points, +30, 18:41 McLeod 53 points, +13, 16:50 Bennett 51 points, -15, 17:27 Schenn 50 points, +3, 17:34 Danault 43 points, +20, 17:40 Staal 36 points, +15, 15:26 Lowry 34, +18, 15:26 *Mittelstadt 34 points, -12, 17:00 *Norris 33 points, -5, 18:20 Dach 22 points, -29, 15:40 Interesting exercise and kinda eye-opening. *Short-season totals. Each was traded at the deadline and Nelson and Cozens took over.
  22. Attempting to throw hands with a dude at least double your size? Clearly drunk. This video is gold, Jerry, gold!
  23. One thing I have noticed about Kesselring, Doan, and Lyon, they sounds like adults. Over the last 2 years it is something I noticed a lot more in Dahlin. Maturity.
  24. Between July 20 and August 6 I think.
  25. As you point out there is value in a player who can move up in his role when needed. In a injury riddled game that versatility is an asset.
