  1. Past hour
  2. He's closer to 170 now but that doesn't really matter to your og point. It's possible they draft him at 9 but I personally feel that they'll lean in other directions.
  3. I always hate warm weather hockey teams in the playoffs. I almost always pick the colder climate in the playoffs. Except when it's Toronto/Boston. I cringe and sort of look away but I'll take a Florida win. I always felt that way. But then 99 vs Dallas really set it a blaze. Carolina in 2006. The constant attempts at teams in Atlanta and Arizona. Eichel to Vegas. All of it just kept it burning hot.
  4. You mean like Karma? Then it had it out a lot of teams. All but two teams had their pick made worse.
  5. The News is hiring a new Sabres beat reporter. Why does that not register with you?
  6. Yeah i just noticed i was looking at the wrong guy, it says 5'11" 161 lbs.
  7. 5'11" but I wouldn't count out Victor Eklund. He's a fiesty chaos creator. That said I think we'll look elsewhere. Eklund isn't going to fit their profile impo.
  8. I've basically always argued for guys that can play in the muck, like Benson. I think being tough and battling is a very important hockey trait. I don't equate it with size like just about 90% of this board it seems. I'm looking for heart, miles and miles of heart. I think Martin and Bear have that. McQueen might but he gets injured so that's tough. Eklund has it too. Helenius and Zeimer fall into this as well. Toughness in the NHL today needs to be a pack mentality. Lindy Ruff talked about that at one point this year. You get their by finding those players in the draft and via trade.
  9. We'll know after game 3.
  10. Viktor Eklund, bank on it, 5'10" 168 lbs., he's already being mocked to us at 9.
  11. No. Dylan Cozens is just bad defensively and the league figured that out. You need team toughness, which is what Florida has. The "manhandling" didn't intimidate Tampa, it out worked Tampa. You're babbling on like it's 1987 and we need some 4th line fighter to protect Gretzky. Quick question, how old are you? When did you first watch hockey? I'm working on a theory. To the bold, keep that up, see how far it gets you with me.
  12. My wife who knows nothing about the NHL accurately predicted the Panthers vs Oilers last year in the finals This year she predicted the Leafs vs Oilers. She may be on to something
  13. This is one those of patented puzzling Panthers playoff performances where they play so bad it makes you wonder how they got there. They're always good for at least a few of those games each season.
  14. The fact Adams says he grew up watching the Sabres and no one understands the market better then him yet he builds a team that doesn’t resemble anything the Buffalo market relates to: hard work, grit, toughness. Hes totally clueless
  15. That PP was good even though they didn't score. It may be the turning point. Marchand with the face rub before the commercial was gold. Yikes. Maybe not. Bad Bob, bad.
  16. We need to draft young players that will eventually become complacent and frustrated so we can trade them to a playoff team
  17. If the Sabres are going to use a first round pick as part of a trade package this is the year to do it. The pick's placement and our "young core" make it eminently justifiable: if Adayms doesn't use it as a trade piece then that should be the last straw of the last straws.
  18. Today
  19. Yeah, not the start I expected, but Toronto is pushing in the first period of game 1 at home. And, right, add bad Bob to that and this is what you get. The adjustment from Florida weather to a Canadian spring is more jarring as one gets older.
  20. There is also evidence that he’s terrible defensively and may never be good defensively.
  21. Lol. Keep on keeping on.
  22. feels pretty bad to have the sabres picking only ninth after how poorly this past season went. they were in last place in the conference for what felt like an eternity.
  23. At least he’s close to NHL ready.
  24. I speak only for myself. The local “newspaper” has come to the same conclusion that … most have: The Sabres don’t matter.
  25. The combined TP and GMKA tandom will ensure the continuation of a weak, gutless and underachieving hockey team. Neither has a clue on how to properly construct a roster that can even make the playoffs, let alone actually win in the playoffs.
