  1. Past hour
  2. Bellichick spoke in grunts and minimal words. Adams is a word salad. He falls all over himself. Unfortunately Forton is a much better public speaker than Adams. He also carries himself better. Again, all of this is unfortunate because I wouldn't be shocked if he becomes the GM post Adams. I would prefer he presents as terrible as possible so that it would be clear he's a bad hire. But unfortunately he sounds at least a bit professional.
  3. and that was Selanne's rookie year.
  4. Trump is quite literally the reason Iran has a nuclear program.
  5. He already got a 5th/6th RHD when he got Jacob Bernard-Docker in the Cozens trade.
  6. January makes some sense but the rest doesn't. That said, I think Forton basically drives the draft bus and Adams just regurgitates what he's told about players. Also Adams has access to prospects video in shift by shift mode with AI tracked fancy stats. He's got a lot easier job keeping up with them if he wanted but... he's not good at his job.
  7. Tbh, I'm not opposed to them taking a defender. I just think in this specific draft, you'll have opportunities in round 2 to do just that.
  8. The one I like the best - “… But our focus remains the same: how do we help our team get better?” Simple fire your arse.
  9. I'm also super surprised at how not plugged into prospects Adams is. He doesn't start getting to know prospects until January? Then doesn't pour into film until May? And sometimes he doesn't know about all the work the scouting team put into a certain player until they're on the clock? That sounds crazy. He comes across like a bumbling idiot.
  10. “The way Eric Staal articulates... It's a really big addition to our staff" This ranks up there for me with “Let me tell you guys what Terry said in that meeting, it was very impressive” Just comments from a guy completely in over his head. He knows where his bread is buttered though. Every statement he makes is for an audience of one. He says what he thinks Terry would want to hear.
  11. Coming down on the side of Iran's nuclear program seems a very odd position to take.
  12. I hope it does, however history is not our side.
  13. Adams saying he feels bad for the fans because of reporting is rich. Lolz. The Peterka conversation is cringeworthy. The hemming and hawing and executing the plan talk is gross. If you don't want to talk about player situations pre draft then just say that. It's one sentence. One thing I will say is that if the are looking to trade JJP and/or Sammy, saying they want our or there is a buyout option is a good way to tank value. But Adams is basically bad at everything and this conversation didn't protect any trade value.
  14. The Sabres can’t find a second pairing dman to save their lives. I agree though to take the best forward at 9 if it isn’t moved (Adams doesn’t have the balls to pull that off)
  15. Practice. Lots and lots of practice.
  16. I disagree that Samuelsson should be bought out. Where I do agree with you is that the letter should be taken away from him. He never should have been given a letter, just as Eichel should not have been given a letter when he was so young. Samuelsson needs to concentrate on his game and durability. Much of the hostility directed toward him is due to his style of play. Although he is a big fellow, he is not a banger. That's not his game and never will be. But that doesn't mean that he can't be a solid and versatile player for us.
  17. Must be responding to the wild rumor that he knew what he was doing.
  18. Today
  19. Yeah... considering she is now the primary team owner CEO it was probably a good idea to have some involvement.
  20. You made the succinct potent point as to why he shouldn't be dealt. None of us really know what the player wants to do. Is he maneuvering for a gilded long-term contract or is he another disillusioned Sabre player who wants to get the freak out of this toxic waste franchise. Who can criticize someone for desiring a better chance for individual and team success. This is what happens when a franchise becomes known for its generational failure and understandably is not a destination for players not only outside the system but also within it. The organization needs to do everything within reason to keep him.
  21. I love the pessimism on this board! lol
  22. They are going to say how much they "value" each of their players until they move them. I expect a major move or two, possibly someone who is under the radar at the moment.
  23. The Sabres will make the pick, we'll all be unimpressed, except for that one poster, and then we'll hear how they had offers but none of them were "right". The worst AI on the planet could write this story.
  24. The Sabres just need to stop doing press conferences. Prove it or get out. That needs to be this team's motto moving forward.
  25. I get the feeling that this is going to be a typical same o same o for the Sabres. Draft best player available and bring in a lower lever FA and cross your fingers it is going to work. No major changes and typical Shampoo bottle Sabres. Wash, rinse, repeat
  26. I can’t decide if letting Terry or Adams speak is more embarrassing for the franchise at this point? If they ever hold a joint press conference it might be too much for anyone to handle. Probably be hard to make out anything Adams would say though with his lips attached to Terry’s backside the entire time.
