  1. Past hour
  2. I like the line combo's I just read. The D is something I have to see. I wouldn't mind seeing Johnson on D, since he passes the puck well to forwards breaking out of the zone.
  3. Yes, or a guy we just claim off of waiver might have to actually start real games for us. That sinking feeling....🤢
  4. Should have as soon as season ended. He was our best goalie by far
  5. Then Levi might have to come up.
  6. There’s also the possibility that Ellis winds up as the better option between him and Lyon. If that happens, you cross that. Ridge when you get there.
  7. Johnson belongs, Bryson can’t leave soon enough.
  8. Look, the Cheats played their absolute best possible game. 100 on a scale of 100. The Bills did not, and no team in any sport ever does play at 100 for every single game. Bills were 65 at best out of 100. If the Cheats at 100 can barely beat the Bills at 65, I'm ok. And those uniforms are NCAA D-III garbage.
  9. Quite often, one of the largest holdings of my retirement fund is potash producer Nutrien, their mining assets are primarily in Saskatchewan.
  10. The eye test says both: Bryson and Georgiev can go. Johnson won the #7 and personally, I'd keep Kozak as he can give you better, more versatile forward minutes as center or wing -- he's a Danforth type. I know Ruff loves Geertsen, but ... you have to dress him every game to actually be able to use him as a deterrent, and that's hardly likely because a 5-minute forward is almost useless in today's regular season games. (Florida/Tampa's silly exhibition over the weekend was exactly that -- an exhibition. They'll be civil in all the games that matter where their top lines are dressed.) Plus, Geertsen is hardly a deterrent -- Noesen won't be intimidated by him. They'll do a faceoff-based fight this season and that'll be the end of it.
  11. West Edmonton mall can accommodate hundreds of palm trees.
  12. Not sure but he was probably around 10% for a good chunk of that first big deal. Interesting that Crosby has never been the highest paid player in any year of his career. Leaving a bit on the table helps them win 3 Cups imo.
  13. I actually agree with this 100 percent. Gives UPL a month to hopefully get healthy and then if he comes back and is lights out, we can try and waive Ellis. and if UPL is bad, then we run Lyon and Ellis, I frankly don't care, the best goalie is playing period
  14. I think this claim gives us a timeline on UPL. He’s out long enough for St Louis’ waiver rights to expire (was it 30?days that taro mentioned) and then we go from there. I fully expect the Sabres and Georgiev to part ways.
  15. You 3 give me hope. I just don't have a good feel for what this front office has in store.
  16. They're going to dress three ***** goalies instead of two?
  17. And I wonder how much of that is under the table from the teams.
  18. He’s the next shoe to drop. Probably as soon as Thursday when Power is cleared to play. The next one is the interesting piece; Who goes first when Greenway or Kesselring is ready: the 3rd goalie or the 8th defenceman?
  19. Man, this is going to be one crappy ride, ugh. That roster just screams come stomp on us.
  20. You give Ellis a day or two to get settled and then that more than likely happens with Georgiev.
  21. I'm surprised Kozak hasn't been waived to Rochester yet. He's not a guy that should get claimed because every team has 1-2 Kozaks. But if a team is dealing with injuries, I could see it being 50/50 of losing him. He's not going to score but he does the little things right and is positionally sound. We saw how much calmer the bottom 6 looked when he was in the lineup last year vs., say, Lafferty.
  22. I think they will, if Power is G2G for Thursday, that is exactly what I think will happen
  23. I can’t see any circumstance where that isn’t the plan unless the both play and Georgiev is dramatically better. Why would you claim Ellis otherwise?
  24. Idk, they have more info. They may have thought there was going to be a chance of a longer issue and wanted insurance. Seriously they should waive Georgiev and keep Ellis.
  25. Yikes. Will 85 points be considered an overachievement?
