  1. Past hour
  2. The Pegula box is small and tightly held. Creativity and imagination are not stored in this tool box,
  3. Hey Ivan it’s Jarmo any interest in signing with the Sabres on 7/1? Ivan: This is sarcasm of course
  4. Why wouldn't he be willing to sign a new contract roughly a year ago but be willing to sign one now? Because he wanted to see what he's worth on the open market and that wasn't possible a year ago. Heck, Stamkos several years back took TB into the tamper period before re-signing with him because he wanted to know what he was worth on the open market and wanted to know that what he was getting offered by Tampa was fair. These guys typically only get 1 (2 tops) chances to find out what they're truly worth. If he was open to being a Sabre one year ago, why wouldn't he still be open to it. Surely @Sabres Fan in NS still shouts that he should sign in Buffalo any time he goes back for a Junior team reunion, right? So the bug is there in his ear already. šŸ˜‰ Just need Adams to make an offer he'll consider worth accepting and have Kekalainen work his Gaudreau magic convincing him Buffalo is the place to be. And after Winnipeg all those years, it HAS to look good, right? šŸ˜‰
  5. Not if he LTIRetires right?
  6. Or they just get something done with Bernard Docker anyway. They’ve had a few of these the last few years. Hell, the whipping boy Bryson wasn’t qualified last year.
  7. How do you know that there wasn’t some communication? If the other party uproariously laughs at you, then even a dullard such as KA can get the message. @Brawndojust posted that Marner went to Vegas. I suspect that this previously arranged under table deal was already known by most of the league.
  8. Why would Toronto sign him first. Were they worried about some delays that might stop Vegas from getting it done in time. An actual sign and trade. That’s a first.
  9. A chance to correct one of many Botterill Errors
  10. What’s there to review. They can sign a 43 year old for 8 years if they want to. Any cap games they could be trying to play with that term are already covered in the CBA. He’s counting against their cap after he retires.
  11. I have no freaking idea but the team as it is without another top 6 forward and a goalie is bottom 5 in the league. I guess it really does not matter, Florida is winning the East for another 3 years. How did they just re-sign everyone??
  12. Hearing from who? What's your source? Or are you just spreading unsubstantiated rumours?
  13. One of the reasons we've linguered in misery for so long is because of the minimal moves Adams makes. New GMs make about the same number of moves in an off-season as he has in 4/5 off seasons.
  14. Because like some comedian said about what the negotiating process must've been like when they got Sean Connery to be the voice of the dragon in the movie Dragonheart. The phone conversation from Connery's side must've sounded something like this: No way, it's too klitschy, it's beneath me, it's a joke, it's, it pays HOW much? As @Weave said, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. What's the worst that taking a shot does? It changes not a God blessed thing. What's the best that taking a shot does? It just MIGHT work. And even if its only a 2% chance, it's worth taking. And like somebody else said, why not see if you can have Josh Allen in on the phone conversation when Kekaliainen and Adams call him up? Fork it. Think outside the box for once.
  15. Why keep Bryson whyyyy
  16. Marchant playing till he's 43? I wonder if the league will review that signing
  17. lol. What was his Q-offer? 900k? Who the heck is running this franchise. What a joke. Good luck JBD, you played well for us in your limited time. Congrats on escaping Adams hell. Maybe they already have a deal in place and therefore didn’t need to make a Q-offer?
  18. Wtf, why? Adams is dumb.
  19. LOL Free Agent Frenzy will be an absolute dud tomorrow.
  20. I expect to be just as apathetic as am I today. We'll get some reports that the Sabres were "in" on some high level free agents. "They had a few conversations with Marner's camp." It will be spun by the PR department that Adams tried really hard to make the team better and turned over every rock or whatever buzz phrase they choose. In the end, they sign a fringe top 6 forward (insert name here) for more money than he's worth and sign 3 or 4 guys for 1.5 Million on a two way contract. Could it be better than that? I sure as hell hope so, but the transplanted palm trees haven't arrived yet
  21. If they end up keeping Bryson over JBD.
  22. You are assuming that he made no inquiries regarding the availability/interest of this immensely talented player. If it was made clear to him that the whale talent had no interest in coming here, then why waste your energies in a futile pursuit when it an be directed toward some other smaller fishes that can still help you improve the team? I recently had my bank call me to discuss some financial ā€œproductsā€ that would benefit me. I politely but firmly told them no, not interested. The bank hasn’t called me back about their beneficial ā€œproductsā€. They didn’t want to waste their time. This is an easy case to recognize the reality of the situation and channel your energies toward other fishes, even if they are smaller.
  23. Wasted a ***** second round pick on him
