  1. Past hour
  2. He also dealt a 5th in this year’s draft for a 5th in 2032
  3. I respectfully disagree. In the old days, the Aud was sold out every night for years. The team was good and it was the only game in town. People today have so many entertainment options, that the casual fan is not easily swayed. A playoff game in May or June, sure. A Tuesday night, mid-October game against Cal-gary? You and I are excited to be there and see a winning team. The casual fan is not. But give the casual fan music, food options, a fancy show on the video board, some crazy giveaway between periods, etc. they are having a fun night of entertainment downtown. You and I are the same in how we view the team. But you have to look beyond yourself at the bigger picture. (Actually, you don't, but if you want to objectively respond to the original post, you might.) This team is light years away from selling out a "lower tier" game. Even if they team starts winning, they're still going to have a hard time selling out early season games against unexciting opponents, particularly if the Bills are playing well, which is likely to be the case over the next 5-7 years. They need to market the product beyond just the die-hards.
  4. Which I think we all knew lol
  5. Yesterday
  6. Guess we were on the ntc list
  7. Ya that will be a record lol just another dissapointing one for us, but I think it’s a real possibility
  8. So Jason Botterill’s first move as a GM is sending mid-round picks for a middle-six winger from a cash-strapped team? Shocked, yes, shocked I am.
  9. Imagine buying out a 25 year old D man you gave the A to the prior year?🤣
  10. no trade had to play a role in this, we could have beaten that all day but he did had have a no move
  11. Somebody wake up GMKA and tell him it's June please!
  12. Dirty player, frequently employs the knee-on-knee wait…..I’m old
  13. Even EK thinks Sammy will get bought out: Buffalo Mattias Samuelson He’s become a very injury-prone defenseman for Buffalo, but the guy is also 6 feet 4 and is only 25 years old. That’s a really young age to give up on a defenseman, but the Sabres just can’t deal with the $4.2 million cap hit… it will be very interesting when he finds a new home. Look to Vancouver and Minnesota…. this is his latest blurb
  14. Man I’ll admit I didn’t watch too many Dallas games but the ones I did Robertson looked good, and his shot is insane I would take this gamble all day everyday, at 10-11 per season that is so doable
  15. Amazing story.
  16. Good!
  17. It would be honestly so ridiculously refreshing to see them deal this pick where it should be dealt, for now talent, rather than strut up to the podium with a smile while selecting the latest player who “fell right to them”
  18. It’s funny how much support the strategy had in theory before the season started, too
  19. The Athletic ran a story today on the Stars and trading Robertson. A lot to chew on, but my summary is: - his next contract likely pays him $10.5-11 million per over 7-8 years - given his young age and the increasing cap, it will likely be worth it - lots of teams will, and should, be interested - there’s lots to like in his game, but also a few red flags: what impact does playing with Hintz have on his game? and, the reason he is available might be because his playoff performances over the years have not been great and the Stars may have decided they need more (ie: Rantanen)
  20. When is the schedule coming out?
  21. (In honor of year 31 of the drought.)
  22. Thanks for bringing that up. Was going to say something to that effect but got caught in a meeting. Not that any teams nowadays send fighters out to set the tone or change the momentum, but the Sabres fights ALL seem as being reactionary to somebody having had significant liberties taken and none of them, with the possible exception of Krebs who is a bantam weight at best, seem to have the slightest idea of what they should be doing in a fight. And, if the Sabres weren't getting liberties taken against them, they'd never be in any fights. (Which wouldn't actually be a bad thing. Don't need to see Thompson nor Tuch out for 3 weeks with a broken hand from punching somebody's visor.) Because it seems NOBODY EVER starts a fight because a Sabre took liberties against somebody else's teammate.
  23. I was aware that we are in accord. Sometimes it seems that the fight crowd is more interested in dropping gloves than scoring goals. We need more Zucker type players who battle around the net and score the hard goals. That’s where the focus should be.
