  1. Past hour
  2. FIFY Cindy is living rent free in your heads.
  3. Outta the way, Pengiuns. The Sabres are coming through! So that's Lindy's way: It's your net until you lose. Do you know the way?
  4. To me its only Garland or Sherwood, Garland is a Doan/Benson type but his contract jumps to 6 million per year next year. He is fiesty and plays hard. Sherwood would be a big add, but he is a rental and rumors are he wants 6 million per season on his next contract. I dont want to be the team to pay him that contract, it has regret written all over it. Much like the Dakota Joshua contract. But id ride the wave of his UFA season, I just feel there is a desperate GM out there that would give a first rounder for him....and I dont want that to be us. I still think the move could be Östlund/Kulich/Krebs + for Garland. One of those deals would be really good. We just would be in a bit of a tight Cap Crunch moving forward, and would maybe require us to move out a contract.
  5. Kinda like the Town of Tonawanda, the City of Tonawanda, and the City of North Tonawanda.
  6. The rule of thumb: If it's good, It's Jarmo.
  7. Thanks for restoring my faith in Jack's awfulness.
  8. ...maybe that was just age 18-37 Crosby. But now he's 38. Thirty-eight! He's probably got grandkids coming over for Thanksgiving tomorrow and is worried about getting the turkey out of the brine and pre-baking the pies. Tell Kozak that Sid is McDavid and sic him on that line.
  9. Where's the challenge in that?
  10. Quinn Hughes? Sure, sign me up. But it's impractical unless it's with an extension that won't happen. The only other interesting one is what Baker-Fairburn postulated -- toss them a 2nd round pick (and something? a 5th?) for Sherwood as a rental because he wants way too much money for his age/speed when he gets to UFA this season. But he's hot, healthy, and hitting now. It allows you to add strength/aggression/hard to play against, waive Dunne back to where he really belongs, and Östlund goes down when the centers return.
  11. Just the kind of game for Crosby to net 2 in the 3rd period for a 4-3 Pens win.
  12. Agree. Some of the players they have that are available to me seem like soft passenger types.
  13. We have to get some road wins to stay in the race.
  14. He has shown the only time he really plays well is when he has to fight for something, so this is actually the exact situation he does well in based on previous history. It's when they give him the unquestioned starter's role next year again that he will struggle badly as per usual (if they do).
  15. As expected. The plan this year seems to be: Sabres win, you get the next one (unless it's a back to back); Sabres lose, next man up. Hoping he plays well and gets his head back on straight. He could be good for a month or 2 if he does. Not expecting he'd stay on pace much beyond that because even though they have 2 other guys that have shown they're NHLers that should be able to spell him should he get good; that they'd still ride him until he drops. And, it seems quite difficult for him to get his head back on straight once he does drop.
  16. I don't Probably won't have it until closer to game time.
  17. Yes, yes, give him all the games….. Anyone have a scouts list in attendance tonight? FIFY
  18. I'd rather be in San Jose.
  19. UPL is in the starters net for the morning skate.
  20. Today
  21. On IR for the Penguins: Jarry, Rakell, Acciari, Brazeau, and a couple guys named St. Ivany and Hallander. Day-to-day: Rust and Koivunen. 3-4-3 in their last 10 and losers of 5 of their last 6. Knock them down, then kick them all the way down to the McKenna Sweepstakes. Go win this game.
  22. Canucks got nothing I want on the Sabres roster.
  23. So, wouldn't that be a good place to get over 0.500?
  24. Pittsburgh is one of those weird teams the Sabres usually either play really well against and win or really bad against and lose. I don't recall very many "OK" games recently against them.
  25. Don't trade for Quinn Hughes unless you're a contender. He's walking to the Devils at the end of next season and the acquisition cost would be pretty ridiculous. But it's nice to dream that Byram+ a couple things would get you Hughes for all of 2026-27 -- as you're 100% likely to lose either of them in July 2027.
