Exactly my point. I'm not following along.

So Diggs in the slot keeps him free of Benford and as Tom Webster speculates, Boutte becomes Benford’s logical assignment. Not thrilled with TJ on Diggs bit might get some help.

First, I never said the Sabres get hosed by officials because "they deserve it". Once again you make a flawed interpretation and try to sell it something someone said or thinks. Never once did I say "the Sabres deserve it". Here is the string of correspondence, here are the receipts Promo. Number one You bolded the above and commented below: ^First Promo Comment - The Sabres get the dirty end of stick far more often. My response: My response. So far the words "we deserved it" which YOU quoted, are not there. My response points to the state of the team - because the owner does not show he cares, why would the league or anyone else. You last comment, completely opposite of your first. What is it Promo? Promo 1 - "We won this time" But it seems we get the dirty end of the stick more often" Promo 2 - "Call it the same for every team, every game. The notion that you only get fair officiating if you somehow earn respect is horseschitt." You have now flipped the argument over and you are on the other side. As long as you can disagree you will. That is what you do. Now, this has gone full circle and I am done.

This after years of Adams drafting for “character.” As @PerreaultForever posted ”Have you notnoticed how much complaining Ruff does? How Sabres players constantly look to refs for calls. Everyone complaining and looking for someone else to fix theproblem. Good teams just get out there and WORK.” Yes, they do Last night when the Sabres gave up the tying goal with just seconds left, they didn’t complain. They didn’t hang their heads. They collected themselves. They took possession in OT and never lost it. They appeared determined to win. Tuch in particular looked like he had something to prove. I think that is character. We need to see more of that team. Preferably in regulation.

Boute might be the guy he shadows.

Maybe. But, they were going to play Ellis in TO but he had a stiff back so they went with UPL instead. And they gave him 3 consecutive starts and he spit the bit in that 3rd game. Have no idea what they're thinking on the goalie situation. For a short while there, they were in the give a guy the next game if he won the last one. Not sure if they're fully out of that or not, because they don't win often enough to tell. You would think that with all the experience they've had running a 3 headed monster the past few years that Bales would have an idea on how to run a 3 man rotation; but really don't get the impression that there is any plan there. Yeah, they're running with "the guy that gives them the best chance to win on any given night" but there really doesn't seem to be any obvious rationale as to how they're making that determination. And it also doesn't seem that they give any consideration to the possibility that letting a guy not play for 3 or so weeks will get him out of any rhythm he might've had and now he WON'T give them the best chance to win on the particular night that he MIGHT actually have been the one to give them the best chance to win that night.

I f’n hate AI voiceovers. That was the moment I realized that the NFL is Bullshizz and really stopped caring.

What’s irksome is not the dissent as it is the perplexing reasoning. 🙃
-
Let's follow your logic a bit. You believe the Sabres get hosed by officials because "they deserve it." What is the respect Mendoza line in the NHL. Is it teams in a playoff position? Is it teams above .500? Do teams in the bottom five not qualify for fair officiating? Or is that special treatment only reserved for the Sabres? And if it is only Buffalo that fails to earn the respect of league's officials, are they not putting their thumbs on the scales to keep Buffalo at the bottom? Do I have that right?

So is whistling past the graveyard.

It doesn’t matter how few or many people will be snickering in the crowd. What matters to the most of us is what the owner does to help this floundering franchise get on the right track.

Well if and when he does make a public statement, we'll find out just how "few" of those people there are. I don't put the fan base down. I just won't follow the groupthink. And that irks people. Dissent is irksome.

I’m a proud member of the moron class. I still have the ability to recognize when someone is peeing on me and not blame the non-existent rain on a sunny day. 😇
