In other words, nothing. And the "fireworks" are for the sponsor who is giving you lots of money. Are you that offended by a corporate PR event? Have you never worked in a field that sold sponsorships? Obviously Key Bank, the 22nd largest bank in the USA, had no qualms over signing up for another ten years tied to the Sabres.

Goaltenders should not be rushed. Levi is very much on a Ryan Miller trajectory and he spent 3 years, I think, with the Amerks. This will be year 3 for Levi. -
Sabres Announce a 10 year extension for the naming rights of Key Bank Center

You are welcome to rewind the clock 30 years and come up with a super stable organization whose having fireworks over a naminf deal on a place nobody wants. And what makes it unstable? Well the owner has been bottom of the league in spending the last 5 years. Our entire staff is a bunch of yes men that ownership keeps doubling down on. It's the worst run of ownership in the history of the league. The owner keeps divesting from other sports ventures not named the Buffalo Bills. -

Oh, I'm not writing him off. Lyons. -
Well, no other NHL team has an expiring lease coming up. Dallas is next in 2030. But what exactly makes this situation unstable? Yes there is a question of who will end up owning the arena, but the arena is not going away. The Sabres have made no threats to leave, not overtly or covertly. So they will keep playing at KBC. Crisis averted.

The world is changing. All that once was is now lost, for none now live who remember.

Wait, after Levi was acquired, they threw him in there at the end of that season, including several consecutive starts, and he looked very good. What has happened since then that has him stuck in Rochester? Two years ago, it looked like UPL had blossomed so Levi was kept down to get more action. What is Levi lacking now that is keeping him in Rochester despite looking so good in Rochester? -

Purely out of curiosity, which statute defines CO2 as a pollutant? -
Found out my local watering hole that was closed for about 4 months for kitchen renovations ain't reopening. Which stinks. But went to the original establishment tonight for the 1st time and found out they'll extend my mug club membership an extra year; which is nice but would rather have the one less than 3 miles from our house reopening. And @Eleven if you ever do come in for trivia, it's now on Tuesday night. (Wtf wants to do trivia on a Tuesday. Wednesday's the day.)

Happy. I have serious doubts concerning UPL. - Yesterday

In the case of Kulich, players do not typically take a big jump after 60ish games. Its a big reason why I’ve been preaching caution with him. Not saying it can’t happen, but it’s not typical

A lot of the young fellows don't know what you are talking about. However, the old hipsters with bad knees remember that political crushing picture. 😀 Terry Pegula is not very comfortable in the public. (Stating the obvious.) There's a public awkwardness that is very evident. He bought a sports franchise and with it goes some public events that he can't avoid. I'm not saying this as a criticism but simply as an observation. It's a shame that his wife suffered a serious medical event that precluded her from handling those public roles because she was better at it. I wish her well. -
You told them the naked truth! 😁

This has actually been bugging me a lot lately. They’re putting motors on every toy imaginable right now. People have become so damn lazy. I have an exterminator who keeps soliciting door to door, riding some sort of hoverboard. Other than the fact that he is knocking on doors way too often, I want to tell him that just seeing that stupid thing he’s rolling around on makes me not interested in his business.

If you add Kulich to your rising talent group that will be a fairly large group within a roster. With respect to McCleod and Zucker, even if their scoring production declines a bit, they still play a responsible two-way game that this team needs more of. As you note, the big question mark is UPL? Will he return to the promising composed form he displayed a couple of years ago or will go back to his panic style of play that marred his last season? It's the big question that will determine how the upcoming season plays out.

Jiri Kulich, what can he do in 2025/26 season
PerreaultForever replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
I was suggesting wing for him ages ago as well. I don't think his on ice vision is all that good and his thinking is a little slow (relative to the speed of the game). So he's indecisive and sometimes that costs him precious seconds and he also sees one wing but not both and then makes bad decisions. As a winger he could use his size and limit his focus to one side of the rink but whatever, no longer our problem. We will see what their coaching and camp does with him and for him.
