  1. Past hour
  2. I assume, the way his shoulder was hanging down, that it was a dislocation. The trainers reset it, shot him up with some cortisone and a pain killer, patting him on the ass and sent him on his way.
  3. That would be a start, but they need to string together more than those two games if they want to show they’re for real. Unless several teams ahead of them go on epic losing streaks, a three game win streak won’t mean anything except reaffirm to Terry that Adams is on the right track.
  4. Or you could look at the standings and say to get that last eighth spot in the conference, you need a .600 Or better point percentage. Starting today, what do the sabres need to do to get to that level so they could be the last team in the playoffs? It's a six-game winning streak. If they were to 'only' win the next five in a row that brings them to .577..... Which would still have them outside a playoff spot.
  5. A 21 year old goalie who has played 6 games in North America. Perhaps it’s a bit too early for that write off?
  6. Figures, my first time ever at Disney World and they dominate a team while I was enjoying the last day of food & wine at Epcot. 😂
  7. My first game of the season, and it was a lot of fun to watch! I don't know what people are complaining about...... 🤣 Some observations. I thought Quinn had a very good game. I recall only one play where I said "wtf!" I was surprised when Tuch was announced as the first star and to find out he had 4 assists. He had a very "quiet" excellent game. Zucker was much more noticeable, though I also didn't realize he ended the game with 3 points. With him back, the lines are more balanced (Looking forward to getting Benson back, and I sure hope we get to see what Norris does for the team for a long period of time). Our seats were right over the Sabres locker room entrance, and we all thought Byram was done the way he went grimacing in pain. I don't know how long it was, but we were shocked when we noticed him on the ice again. That Doan kid is pretty good. Overall, the Sabres responded well after each Hawks' goal. A solid game.
  8. Today
  9. 100% Beat Carolina and Pittsburgh the next 2 games.
  10. It was a fun game to watch but this win means little unless they actually start stringing them together.
  11. Still we are 4 points out of a wild card spot with one game more played than those teams.
  12. So what you are saying is in a year where the other teams are not doing as well as they would be the Sabres are still at the bottom. I can guarantee Kevin Adams is trying to spin it like you are in Pegulas ear.
  13. So I guess they "Wanted it more" last night? It keeps the current HC GM in play which is bad. I don't fault anyone for not wanting this team to keep up the win 1 and lose 2 meta.
  14. The division and conference in general are crazy right now. No "bad" teams that are out of it completely. We are in last place with 20 points but Boston leads the division with 26 having played 2 extra games. Definitely encouraging with how poorly we have played and how injured we have been for much of the year, but at some point we can't keep counting on everyone else to not be good either, they have to take a step. Been a long time since the door was this wide open.
  15. I’m happy they won, but one game’s worth of effort doesn’t erase the 10 games of little effort that has this team at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. Until they put forth that kind of effort night in and night out we aren’t going to see real progress.
  16. No, I expected a win as I said. I'm just not about to break something jumping on and off the bandwagon. A beer league team could have beaten Chicago tonight. they were horrible.
  17. I think he slid because he's small and teams didn't think he would have the same effectiveness playing against the big boys.
  18. At the time of the trade, if someone said Doan would practically replace Pererka's scoring you'd call them delusional.
  19. I think they made up for it. 😜 I just watched the game. I had a high school football game too call. (Bedford NH made the finals.) What can you say? Maybe the Blackhawks didn't take the Sabres seriously? 🤷‍♂️
  20. That’s definitely what she said
  21. Leinonen was decent in Hartford last week. But tonight was abysmal. But you’re right, I don’t think he’s ready for the AHL yet. And yet he’s still better than Georgiev.
  22. The Sabres are still 6 games under real 500 and have the worst winning % in the East at .476 They have to climb over 8 other teams to reach a playoff spot. Yeah we beat the hell out of Chicago. That in no ways makes up for losses to Stl and Calg. This team still stinks. Seriously why do they have to sink so low to get the motivation to play hard?
  23. I'm not surprised by this. It's happened many times before. A complete garbage game, coach yells at them, they win the next one big. I really didn't think they played all that well though. It was a wide open game and they love those always. Zero physicality, no D anywhere and Chicago coming off a demoralizing controversial loss. If you get excited by this you are a fool. Nothing has changed with this team. Starting UPL also tells me this team is not serious about winning this year. They are still showcasing/deciding and they don't have a clue on what they are doing with the goaltending. But hey, lots of goals, win better than a loss. So enjoy it while you can.
  24. Heck, the lines for the plastic Beer Sabres were 40 people deep easily during the intermissions. They sold out at the location nearer where people come into the rink before the 1st intermission was over. They were out of them for this night before the 2nd intermission was over. We're essentially abused spouses. We love this team regardless of how often we have to tell people we tripped going down the stairs.
