  1. Past hour
  2. Lindstrom returned to the ice for Medicine Hat in the WHL final. Assist on his first shift. Looks like McQueen is back on the menu, boys!
  3. That has to be spitballing. Can you imagine Burke in the Sabres front office. He’s way too big a personality to be nice with Adams and not offend Pegula at some point.
  4. 14 years, the entire tenure of ownership, record breaking ineptitude, none of that is made up. Other hockey organizations do not consistently hire individuals with little or no experience to run them. There's never been a rational course correction, and now there is stubborn insistence on keeping a fella who is manifestly in over his head. Yet when folks are angry about it, you act baffled. A lot of conjecture occurs because there is a lack of transparency, lack of any kind of reasonable response to failure, so folks are left to try and discern a semblance of plan in the tiny moves and increasingly meaningless rhetoric that is slow-walked out to the dwindling number of fans who can only speculate whether there is anything coherent beyond manifest contempt for those who remain to care about the team -- mostly an older crowd that remember when the crest was an honorable reflection of the city.
  5. Yes, all is well in SabreLand. Quiet, you rabble rousers. Lance is pro Sabres to the point of being on the payroll. Ending up covering the Bills was probably his aim. Well done.
  6. This is just a bad place to come anymore. Posters making stuff up with insinuations and no proof. Start filling in blanks with conjecture. Then other posters commenting on these made up things, as if they're true statements. Anyway. Just wanted to throw my thoughts in the ring. In the event it resonates with others that don't interrupt the tirades either .
  7. He wakes up each morning with a direct message outline of his social media narratives for the day I’m sure of it
  8. Sabres lose 6-3 but score three in the third. Lance: coach that period really shows what this team can do if they play the system, no?
  9. f*cking literal joke Lance is a shill Like, in the actual sense If they scratch 90 points Adams probably gets a lifetime extension
  10. Today
  11. Gross: 38.5%, but their xG% was 69.3% in 133 minutes Samuelsson and Power was 51.9 real, 40.2 xGz% in 317 minutes.
  12. And then it hit me: what if this is exactly what is happening? What if the leaked shuffle was exactly the original plan: Kevyn failing upward and Karmanos moving into the GM chair? And then the plan fell apart because either Karmanos or Terry decided Karmanos wasn’t the right fit for whatever reason? So they pivoted to bringing in “a senior advisor” with the understanding that he would transition into GM and Kevyn to POHO in the near future. Basically, Kevyn leads him through the organizational learning curve, including the draft and free agency. New guy provides his input to shape the plan and finesse through some moves while Terry watches closely and overcomes his trust issues. Its not unheard of in hockey circles. Doug Armstrong and Alex Steen are doing it right now in St. Louis. It certainly fits with the shuffle and Karmanos rumours, and with what we know about how Pegula and Adams operate.
  13. Whatever the smart thing is to do with him, the Sabres will do the opposite.
  14. Classic Lance. No one outside the employ of the Sabres has carried more water for the franchise.
  15. But what about Randy Sexton? John Chayka? Doug McLean? Jay Feaster? Maybe you’re just looking in the wrong pile? 😜
  16. See if I’m Boston, I look at a trade built around Byram for Lindholm given where the team is in terms of age and cycle. Don’t know that the Bruins will be looking to rebuild though, more likely reload. I’m confused. You dont think he’s getting traded?
  17. I don’t give two s***s about Power’s feelings, I meant to say KA would be upset that his prize pick becomes #3. Power has a looooong way to go to get into my good books.
  18. As I said, if they do an offer sheet, they're silly. They should be trying to fleece Adams on a trade for a piece that "doesn't want to be here" without sacrificing their 2026 1st and a ticket for McKenna. Build it with a lottery-protected 2027 1st instead, etc. (Or, build it around a roster player whose loss helps them in a tank effort for said McKenna. If any of them want to play that game.)
  19. After the Whistle floated Brian Burke. Was that them spitballing or more of a rumor? Id like Dudley once Florida is finished but like everyone else he’s not coming in to report to Adams
  20. I think hiring an executive level hockey advisor is not happening. Terry is learning that the senior candidates with experience won’t work for Adams.
  21. None of this will happen. It’s fun to talk about I guess. For some folks. Based on what? I’ve heard that dude say exactly six words.
  22. Kraken are already paying Dunn/Montour long-term to be their PP guys and have Larsson as the steady D-zone leader. Not sure they work. Bruins will have McAvoy/Lindholm/Zadorov which could be a fit as Zads can play on the right side and would seem to be a good fit for Byram. This would be interesting. CBJ has the space and Provorov and Fabbro are UFAs. I doubt they let both go. Fabbro was their Hronek to Werenski's Quinn last season. They also have Mateychuk ready to make the jump next season. I'm not sure they'll be keen to pay the price.
  23. It doesn’t matter. It just doesn’t matter at all.
  24. I think with most of those teams you’d be talking trades, not offer sheets. I think the Filip Hronek trade (1st and 2nd in the mid teens) is a good comparable for Byram’s value in terms of picks. And really in terms of contract as well, once you add in capflation. This is the type of deal I see the Sabres chasing, either directly, or in 2 parts (like Mitts/Savoie for Byram/McLeod). They will bring in a more defensively oriented, slightly cheaper guy ready to play in the top 4 and kill penalties). It might not be a vet, more of a McLeod type. Think Braden Schneider.
  25. Power would get his nose out of joint at getting passed by. I wouldn’t be upset to see that as an option, Byram can shoot decently too. I think that ship has sailed.
