Is Mike Leone in line to take over for Lindy, even as an interim?

To me it says business as usual. Why would the GM be watching the AHL team if he thought his job was in jeopardy? Seems like he still has his eyes on the future. I’m not endorsing Adams, but I don’t see this as a sign of incoming changes.

What’s worse than his poor public speaking is his self-sabotaging hockey decisions. In any business recognizing what you don’t know and finding the right support staff to help you is critical. It’s not his non-talking that has crippled this forlorn franchise, it is his inexplicable hockey decisions, mostly pertaining to staffing, that has left us with this hockey carcass. It is so stupid and inexcusable!

So because aholes are running red lights, people who are doing what they are supposed to be doing are being punished. Sounds like Merica.

Yeah, I agree... I was more thinking about the sentiment of it though. The speech afterward would just be the icing on top of the cake of making major changes. Yeah I get it. They have a lot of injuries but seriously if all those injured players came back... And who knows how long it'll be... With this team at full strength, are they contending for a cup? Anytime in the next couple of years? I don't think many people want to go through another rebuild. I don't think anyone wants to hear someone on this team saying we have to take a step back and we're going to build this and look to compete in 2 to 3 years from now. But honestly, I think that's needed. With the Right moves, you could go through a rebuild and still have this team be entertaining as it bottoms and turns back up.

Like this Leone guy; demands from his players and isn't afraid to call out our golden goose for a lack of steady play.

Wow. Is that a quote? Sounds like a certain goalie is high on his own supply. I have the AHL package and Levi has been shaky of late, even in games he won.

It was worse than Alamo mode. They couldn't put together two passes in a row. They looked like they had no idea where their teammates were going to be. You couldn't look worse if you grabbed five guys off the street and made them play. I wish I had tele-strater to show examples of how dysfunctional they were all night.

There is nothing Terry can say that will make things better. He's such a poor public speaker he'll only make things worse.

I personally don't care or want to hear from Terry. There is nothing he can say that would make people happy. Is he disappointed? Don't care. Fix it by hiring the right people and let them speak for you.

Pegula is looking old and mentally/emotionally paralyzed with regard to the Sabres. Do something! And by something I mean a lot. Not one token move. Show you care. Walk up to a microphone and say something like.... "We've tried a lot of different things in the past and some of them haven't worked, but what we're doing now isn't working.... so we're going to keep on trying, Even if we make mistakes again. Doing nothing is not an option." He has single-handedly taken what was a respectable NHL franchise with a pretty good fan base... And turned it into a laughing stock. Turned it into a floundering organization, With a crumbling building, With a terrible on ice product. Neither the fans want to support, nor do players even want to consider coming here. That's some good and impressive work!

as was I... they need someone with some clout to allow us to go to the adults table and eat... as of now, I am not even sure we are at the kids table when looking to procure assets... I kinda feel like we eat the table scraps outside with Rover...

I think last night was a microcosmic example of what it has been like to play goal on a Lindy Ruff coached team for the last 10-11 years of his time as a HC. You can only hold the team in for so long. Eventually the breakdowns and lack of structure will wear the goalie down. That Ruff was brought in to bring structure and accountability to the on-ice portion of the organization, is clear evidence that Pegula/Adams do not know what they are doing.

Get ready to be stunned....The Sabres have very little cap left right now because of injuries. So all you folks hung up on unspent cap, you got your wish. 🙄 And no one is paying a billion dollars for the Sabres to keep them in Buffalo. We are the next Hartford or Quebec City if we are sold.

Agreed... if Tuch is traded it isnt going to be for a player that is going to come in here and change the team, nor replace his leadership.. its gonna be prospects/young players without NMCs and picks... bottom line is please fire our idiot GM, his village is missing him... and please dont llet him make trades... for the love of God, do not put him in charge of our assets.

They could finish LAST, but still will get hijacked from the #1 spot to another team…..who will pick McKenna. We can’t have nice things….it’s our curse.

Terry killed this franchise. 100% at fault. There is some sort of dysfunction in his thinking or leadership style that has led us to a place no organization has gone before. You would have to put in extra effort to be this bad for this long.

It's time to end it. Kev resigns. Lindy resigns. Jarmo interim GM. Mike Leone interim HC. Get rid of as many as the assistants you can. Bring up most of the Amerks staff.
