I think we need a legitimate 1C. Norris is a talented player but injuries make him unreliable. I’d say add Norris to the “should we trade” category. And….. Tuch. Between those three I think we could get two top six forwards and a second pair defenseman. If we have to throw in a draft pick then ok. OP would do well on a team that has foundational physicality. Kind of like how Eichel does well where he doesn’t have to be the leader, he just plays. Similarly OP could just be an offensive forward. I think both the Sabres and OP would benefit from trading him to the right team.

Ok Enough Terry - Fire Ruff Adams and the Assistants!

Hockey media’s best known NHL Insider states “the Sabres” have discussed Pete DeBoer, who is, I think, still regarded as one of the league’s best coaches, and certainly is by far the most highly regarded coach available. Seems like something I should be more excited about. -
I wouldn't let Kevyn execute another moves.
-
I think Zach Benson is what you're describing. Tage doesn't go to the slot often enough and tends to take perimeter shots.
-
One of the main reasons Kevyn should've been fired is the idea of him making a horrible ill advised trade like Power for a middle six quality center in a desperate attempt to save his job.
-
Ya I mean I agree with you in theory. Any player not named McDavid should always be on the table for the right price
-
I think Benson’s vision is superior and his passing is sublime; the two most important attributes for a playmaker. I agree Tage should be on the wing and is in need of a center, but the Norris injury certainly derailed that plan.
-
I'd think the Sabres have a 1 in 5 chance of making the playoffs while the Bills have roughly a 2 in 3 chance of making the playoffs. How does that get quantified? Is it just 2/15? A little over 13%? That sounds about right.

It's been a problem since they traded O'Reilly and didn't replace him. The problem now is their top two forward (Tage/Tuch) simply aren't good enough. They're not true 1st liners and can't seem to get it done in tight games. Benson might be their only truly capable top line forward, but still needs a couple years before he's at his peak.

Lyon has simply not given Ellis an opening as of yet. Can’t blame Lindy for staying with him. I’m sure Ellis will get one of the two Leafs games this weekend.

If I have to limit myself to only the outcomes a severely flawed GM would obtain, I’ll just go back to my usual snark and half witted humor.

1. Not sure yet, could be ok 2. Good. 3. Not bad, leaning on the good side. 4. Not good. 5. Big (ish) names but not really helping/hurting either way. 6. Doesn't matter. 7. Not good. 8. Doesn't matter. 9. Not good. 10. Doesn't matter. 11. Not good. 12. Decent. Risto was hurting this team, needed to go. 13. Bad. 14. Doesn't matter. 15 Doesnt matter.

If they all had that haircut I’d have no choice but to rank them among the truly elite teams of my day
-
And it’s the trade you’ll get. Those are the types of players Adams traded for see: “Josh Norris” (whoever that is) his deals are just a microcosm of his overall strategy. “If eveything goes right…” ”Ya but what are the odds o…” ”BUT IF THINGS ALL GO RIGHT…” The player will have a noticeable possibly fatal flaw and we reap the benefit
-
I’m tired of losing. I don’t give a ***** about developing players for other teams. I would trade literally anyone on the roster or in the system to make the team better. And that would not be a good trade to make.
-
If they trade him now, dollars to donuts it’s not for a top 6 C, but rather the dreaded “middle 6”’ C

No 2020-21 Sabres team on that list?!?!
