The way that puck was spinning, and given Luukkonen's puck-luck and losing sight of it, Tuch probably saved a goal. -

When I see UPL in the net I am reminded That this franchise Isn't serious about winning 🤮 I gotta have something on whilst preparing what will be a most delicious seafood chowder 🦀
-
Geertsen not in Amerks lineup for anyone concerned.

I need the media and announcers to stop putting any stock in teams playing the second leg of back to back games. It has never mattered against this team because other teams know if they just outwork the Sabres they’ll win. Which usually isn’t very hard to do.

I’ll watch also. I can’t tell if I’m a glutton for punishment or like a car crash - I can’t look away 😂 -

I'm looking at tonight's lines and 3 maybe 4 of the top 6 are 3rd liners on a good team. The whole problem is Adams dumped everything into Cozens, Quinn, and Peterka becoming top-6 guys and it went bust. Cozens was traded for a guy with top-6 talent but is rarely available; Peterka became one but then wanted out; Quinn will show flashes from time-to-time, but he's not there and it doesn't look promising. Another Adams failure. -

Well, if we've learned anything over the past couple of years, anytime this outfit shows a sign of life, it's inevitably followed by a losing streak. I'll be watching, but I'm not optimistic... especially with UPL in net. -
Anybody fired after the Calgary debacle? Why not?
Mr Peabody replied to HILLsabre's topic in The Aud Club
I had/have minimal expectations for this team but would like to see a “core” group of players identify themselves as people to build around as the season progresses. Start shedding the rest as opportunity presents and get some cap space. Also a GM who’s not married to this crew needs to be making the moves. -

You are probably correct in the long term regarding Doan, but often times its not how much talent you have, but rather how you compiment the players you are with. I think most will agree that Tage Thompson is the most talented offensive forward on this team, so how does Doan impact him when they are playing together: Tage with Doan: 1 goal every 16 minutes ES. Tage with anyone other than Doan: 1 goal every 18.7 minutes That is actual goals, how about how well they generate chances? (expected goals) Tage with Doan: 1 expected goal every 17.8 minutes. Tage with anyone else: 1 goal every 22.5 minutes. Small sample size, but in the 65 even strength minutes Doan has played with Tage, they produce, and generate chances better than Tage with anyone else other than Doan. Just like last year with Kulich and Tage...maybe it won't last, maybe it will, but it deserves a bit more time to find out.

What an F’d Up organization!!! Did they forget a guy named Alex Lyon who played pretty well before they gave him a rest….incompetent decision making at a level never seen before in professional sports. -

I think Malenstyn was pretty bad early in the year, but the last week or two I think he has been one of the better forwards.

Well both Stahl and Jarmo suck then because absolutely nothing has changed in the organization. At this point i I’m starting to believe they hired both for optics -

I’ll take Malenstyn over Krebs any day. Krebs is smaller, slower, and repeatedly gets knocked over. I hope they throw him in a deal with UPL. -

He does all that, but he inevitably loses the puck because he doesn't have the hockey IQ to know how to make a play. Watching my kids grow up through minor hockey, you see these players all the time. Fantastic skaters, hard workers, but just can't put it all together. It baffles me how they can't see a window or two to get the front of the net, while kids with less skill can. If Malenstyn could help put the odd one in while playing a strong defensive game, and get to maybe 45%GF he wouldn't bother me. But he's not close because his IQ is so bad.
