Because it is easier than trying to do something you suck at, making a trade.

I am expecting more, lol.

Chad D: expect a Byram trade at or around the draft
Archie Lee replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Yeah. This is what happens when you are as bad as the Sabres though. Even the things just considered are reason to question Adams’s competence. Also, one of the underrated negative consequences of always drafting in the top 10, is that those picks are valued higher than the players who are available in trade. Rust for 25th OA and nobody blinks an eye. Rust for 9th and ooff. -
Are you not reading stuff here? Every day is pitchforks and torches day.

Or just go out and get all enforcers…. Tanner Jeannot, Hathaway etc. and do what Florida did to all the goalies in the playoffs, run into their heads and maybe we have a chance?

Paul Hamilton just confirmed the 2nd round pick wasn’t traded exclusively for JBD. Dennis Gilbert was the piece included for JBD. Take it for what it’s worth.

OT: Change to Production of Sabres Broadcasts
Mango replied to That Aud Smell's topic in The Aud Club
Post this one in the "Beane is the most sensitive GM in the NFL" thread on TBD. I think we have the most sensitive owner, whose lucky to be in a small market. And it makes people who are normally suited for their roles thin skinned. God I HATE Terrance Pegula. -

One note: Living out of market and being able to watch the opposition broadcasts on ESPN+ is very helpful. But, you know, those broadcasts are critical of the Sabres, too. (also, you could do this within market with VPNs, etc.) -
I doubt that was an issue at all. Ottawa actually took on slightly more money from Gilbert’s contract. That deal goes through just fine in both sides if the defensemen are removed. There had to at least have been some interest from one side or the other on one of those guys.

I'm torn between whether the franchise is a gong show or a clown show. -

What, exactly, does uncritical Brian Duff look like? I guess Biron will have to go elsewhere because he won't be able to break down the play in between periods with any sense of integrity (if they have a poor period). -

Is a broadcast too critical if no one is around to see it? -

Once again the Sabres showing they have a good handle on what’s wrong with their product and how to fix it. -

Management thinks the broadcasts have been too critical? And people think the players in the this organization are too soft -

Too critical? They suck. That said, I always felt the coverage was one big giant bj for the team. How ***** -
And then he assistant-coached a Sabres squad that had Miller/Enroth and Vanek and... Drew Stafford's best season, though the goals probably all came in 3 games... the last time the Sabres made the playoffs. But they had goaltending.

Per Alan Pergament at The Buffalo News. "The Buffalo Sabres are making a key television lineup change next season. Joe Pinter, who has been producing Sabres’ games since 2002 and has been working for the team for 37 years through when games were carried on WUTV (Channel 29) and WNYO-TV (Channel 49), was told recently that his services are no longer needed. Pinter declined comment. His replacement hasn't been named but the job has been posted. According to sources, some members of Sabres management believe the television coverage has been too critical. It is a laughable claim since the team has been on a 14-year Stanley Cup playoff drought ... ." +++ If this is the kind of business stuff that Pete G. signs off on, he can go get wrecked as well.
