  1. Past hour
  2. Sure, everyone wants that. But you can’t just ignore what’s happening while the season crumbles. And for the record, no one mentioned tanking.
  3. 74 if you count Dahlin's leave of absence. It leads the NHL by a mile https://nhlinjuryviz.blogspot.com/2025/10/202526-NHL-man-games-lost-plots.html Kris baker and Matthew Fairburn discuss this and other things related to Kevyn Adams on their latest pod, including potential succession scenarios.
  4. Oh God no. He's certainly above Power and if he wasn't, 3 guys would have overtaken him (Stenberg. Verhoeff, and Belchetz). He's imo a half step below Bedard/Celebrini but it's still early, so idk yet. He's lacking a 200ft game, fully. His offensive ideas though and skill-set are on par with Celebrini. McKenna creates offense.
  5. Disagree. McConkey would be helping them. Look at his numbers. He leads his entire draft class in receptions and yards. McConkey has 52 receptions and 631 yards and 4 TDs, while Coleman has 32 and 330 and 3. Palmer and Samuel are fast and can run deep routes to take coverage with them. That would make things even better for McConkey and Shakir better. McConkey knows how to get open.
  6. Belchetz is interesting. The skating holds him back a little, I've seen 1 game so maybe I'm wrong but it's noted other places. His form is okay but I wish he had better edges. He might get there because 6'5" 225lb 17yr olds aren't fully coordinated. He can by physical but I've seen it more used on walls to protect pucks than like a Tkachuk just hitting everyone... although he does hit. His ideas look high end but execution leaves something to be desired. Drives the net and has a hard release. The question is, is he Brady Tkachuk or Alex Tuch?
  7. Wadr, disagree quite vehemently. Pomminstein was played on a line he wasn't still capable of playing on for an entire season and he wore out quickly his last year as a Sabre. He SHOULD've been used as a 3rd liner. But rather than that, he was used quite a bit on Eichel's line. He did very well there for about 10 games and then crashed to earth. It was good to move on from him when they did.
  8. Of course. You know my build would be very different to Terry's. McKenna is still the obvious top pick but he has struggled a little this year. Size might be a factor. More Hughes vibes than Celebrini. Maybe Bedard. I think it might take him a few years to make a real impact. Belchetz is probably going to go around 3 or 4. Top 5 anyway but that's where we might end up as Calgary looks pretty woeful. Lottery of course could change all that.
  9. Wtf are you talking about. Nolan coached the Sabres when Muckler was the GM. He then a few years after declining the 1 year offer Regier gave him to continue to coach, moved on to the Aisles. Nolan took over again with the Sabres after Rolston got canned.
  10. So it seems McKenna isn’t quite on the same level. Do you have him closer to a Power/RNH type first overall or a Celebrini/Bedard type?
  11. Yes, I would think they get to the front of the line or go to the private clinic or whatever.
  12. Nolan had never been a head coach but I don't count that debacle. They screwed Nolan over badly. Best forgotten, the whole Nolan saga. Kreuger I do not count as experienced either. That was a complete joke. You want technical definitions ya, I guess they were experienced, but not really. Disco Dan, ya, the whole we didn't hire the guy who played us to go to Toronto thing so we took the guy who rode Crosby's coat tails. Fair enough, ya, he was experienced. All 3 GMs have made horrific mistakes. The details don't really matter.
  13. Demidov and Lindstrom were in the mix but he was always the top pick. I don't remember 100% but there wasn't much to question there. He also didn't jump to the ncaa in their draft year. Knew you would.
  14. If Zucker needs an ENT or a Hematologist, he's getting into one probably that day or next.... The team docs 1000% have connections...Buffalo actually does have a good subspecialty force as well for being a "smaller" city. The fact that he probably has seen said specialist and still have no diagnosis concerns me a bit more.
  15. I agree that Ladd was a better pick than Keon. but McConkey doesn't solve this team's biggest problem at the WR position. The Bills biggest problem is there is no one who is a threat deep and outside. Defenses can compress the field against us both vertically and horizontally. This is killing the Bills offense. So yea, Ladd is a better football player than Keon, but neither do any of the things this offense really needs.
  16. Today
  17. I thought it was McCormick to be honest
  18. Pommers actually played rather well here when he returned. A solid 3rd line guy who still could play at a decent level. Hell we should of brought him back 1 more year instead of trading for Vesey.
  19. We don't want Savoie back at all. He is behind Kulich, and now you can see that Östlund and Rosen have passed him. Pretty soon Helenius. I want to keep Tuch as part of the next re-tool if possible. I certainly see the dilemma of a long term, big dollar contract though.
  20. I’d imagine most team doctors have specialties that mostly focus on Sports Medicine as well as a guy who does concussions and the like. I doubt their immediate staff has doctors that specialize in sudden unusual blood clots or serious viral illnesses. Those would likely require the player to be sent to a specialist.
  21. Actually, Ruff was the 3rd experienced coach hired in the Pegula era. Goober had won a SC in Pittsburgh and Ted Nolan had coached in a couple of different NHL cities. 3 experienced and 3 inexperienced. (Kreuger's partial season before leaving for Europe and hockey tournaments and pro soccer leaves him in the "inexperienced" category IMHO.) 3 inexperienced GMs with 0 experienced GMs brought into that role, though at least 2 experienced "advisors." Patrick and Kekalainen.
  22. I'll admit right now I like Belchetz.
  23. I heard a Brad Marchand clip the other day where he said Celebrini is "an absolute dog. He competes every shift. You can see he wants it" etc etc. It's a pity nobody says that about Owen Power.
  24. 9 days? That's crazy. Doctors haven't figured it out? Stuff with this team just gets weirder and weirder.
  25. We might be better off with a Hudsucker Proxy scenario where Terry hires the mailroom clerk instead. But I gots a feelin' Jarmo was more a “waiting in the wings” type of a successor.
  26. What would you have said about Celebrini at this point in his draft year?
  27. Seems pretty obvious that he just watched a Sabres game. That's exactly how I feel when doing it.
