  1. Past hour
  2. The extra year may have prevented Adams from making a desperation move that would have set the franchise back even further
  3. Plenty of GM ‘s and coaches have been fired with yrs left on their contracts.
  4. No one is going give up a lot for UPL. If it is decided that he is the odd man out in the current trio rotation, then trade him or whoever, and get what you can get. In my view, it would be good for UPL to go to another team and have a fresh start. One of the main criticisms that KA has received by many over the past number of years is how he has handled the goalie position. No question that it is warranted.
  5. I doubt there is much of a chance that this could happen as you've outlined it. It's not the way Terry operates. That doesn't mean that it doesn't have a certain appeal to those of us who feel a complete culture change is necessary. Torts would change the atmosphere in the locker room before the end of the 2025 and certainly elevate the bar as far as what is an acceptable level of effort on the ice. This is the set it on fire and whatever/whomever doesn't melt is the new "core" moving forward. Would be interesting to see.
  6. Based on the defenseman in that division the Central should be renamed the Norris Division
  7. Pierre LeBrun mentioned the same thing
  8. Jay McKee (I hear glowing reviews on player development & team success)… After retiring from playing in 2010, McKee moved into coaching: Assistant Coach, Rochester Americans (AHL) – 2011-12. Assistant coach in the OHL with the Erie Otters (2014-15). Associate and then Head Coach of the Kitchener Rangers (OHL), leading them for several seasons. In 2021 he was named head coach of the Hamilton Bulldogs in the OHL (the team later moved/renamed to the Brantford Bulldogs). As head coach of the Bulldogs, he won the 2022 OHL Championship and has compiled strong records; he recently achieved his 300th OHL coaching win and is one of the fastest coaches in league history to do so. McKee signed a contract extension through the 2027-28 season with the Bulldogs, highlighting his success and value in the league. WOULD have to buy him out likely, IF he wants the job. Named assistant coach for Team CHL at the 2025 CHL USA Prospects Challenge, representing the OHL alongside coaches from other leagues. In summary, Jay McKee is a respected hockey coach developing talent in major junior hockey and has built a strong coaching resume after a distinguished NHL playing career.
  9. This 1000%. If Adams is still anything but a figure head, work from home type job then none of this matters. If GM and coaches can’t pick their own guys then it is also pointless.
  10. If you fire Kevyn, who is going to administer these enemas?
  11. That’s more ice time than Savoie got. Östlund gives them a better chance to win, which is what Lindy wants. KA is busy on-line, house hunting in Jacksonville.
  12. I honestly think that was a favor from GMKA to the (local) family. Adams knows he's on his way out. Two-way contract gets him a game and it doesn't cost much if anything. Kind of classy, actually.
  13. I can simplify this down to 2 moves. 1. Fire Kevyn 2. A Franks hot sauce enema for the entire roster and coaching staff after every game they lose.
  14. Normally, I would have been the first to grab my pitch fork and yell at you that I don't want borderline abusive dinosaur coaching the team ... but honestly ... sure, why not.
  15. Someone weighed in heavily on this trade. I don’t think it was Kevyn, but this person should be given more responsibility.
  16. Oh come on, they gave him a rookie lap and then 5 full minutes of ice time. I hope the guy at least got a good meal in Van. They do have some decent restaurants. It's a nice city to visit.
  17. So Adams apparently is signed for another year and nobody knew. So Sabres. Now I give the opinion that nobody will like. Bring on the thumbs down and vomit emojis. Fire Adams outright - gone. No explanation necessary. Fire Ruff. Historical figure but let's face it, he's done a s##t job in his return. We've fired ex-Sabres before and some of them were good coaches (eg. Craig Ramsey) Fire all the assistants. They're all garbage and Ruff let them do too much and thus we are same. Name Jarmo GM. Now for the vomit part. Jarmo hires Tortorella as coach. Torts gives us hours of endless soundbites and entertainment while identifying all the slackers and we clear the rot out. Slash and burn and rebuild the culture. 2 years from now we fire Torts and the new guy moves things forward and into the playoffs with an identity and actual hockey culture in full force. Think of it like this. Team has cancer. Bandages aren't enough. Minor surgery won't solve it. they need full chemo. Then we see if they have the will to survive.
  18. But, nostalgia. There’s palm trees down there. He’ll have no problem.
  19. Östlund and Ohgren were on the same line, yes.
  20. Well today on twitter I'm reading that Adams is actually signed for another year which is like a wtf? But there it is. He may never leave.
  21. Oh I think it's definitely a tear down rebuild/tank now. They knew Hughes would walk in a year and a half and I think they knew if they waited until next year they would get less as other teams would know they were up against it and would try to lowball them. Reinhart type returns at best. I would guess they were being offered 3 big pieces and then Minnesota jumped in with 4 and that was tche4 best they could get. Young guys to fill out the roster while they tank and rebuild and maybe given ice time those guys still develop. Ohgren played with Rosen or Östlund didn't he? Same level. A lot of people are high on Buium. Skilled but he has defensive issues. I think at best he's a Byram type. It's not a great return but really, I can't see how they could get more on a player who would have walked 100%.
  22. Today
  23. Doin' the Lord's work 🙌 It's much appreciated
