Why would people expect different, we haven’t acquired the tools up and down the organization to change the culture.

I was joking haha. As far as thinking it was the year. I was thinking it was gonna be another mediocre year so we’re definitely on schedule.

start off strong 

Benson messes up a 4v1

Zucker flubs a point blank shot 

Dahlin gets a weak call against him and the Bruins score 

1 goal against and the stop skating 

McLeod with a terrible turnover 

bruins score again

Lyon 2 goals against on first 3 shots 

they get a power play and it's as awful as any we've seen

hope I'm wrong but it feels like game over

Dahlin and McLeod are playing the farthest below their last year's performance.

10 games, 10 points.  Not on playoff pace.

There are promising things happening on the team, but more work needs to be done.  It's time to fire Adams.

Tuch's contract, the three-headed goalie situation, three highly paid defensemen who can't play on a line together.

Turn it over to Jarmo to see if he can make the decisions needed to get the Sabres into the playoffs.

Boston feed...   the PP zone entry... no drop pass. Just 3 guys rushing up ice with speed and 2 already at the blue line. Almost lost it... but they supported each other and had a wide-open shot from the slot.

The thing is our guys really do often have the opportunity to swing games and it’s still the same old screw ups and then you watch our opponents go down and cash in

Just think about the other night Kulich has a break away to secure an extra point and he fails. We have a beautiful four on one opportunity early when we’re out playing them and Benson can’t even hit the net and Benson is one of our players that actually tries every single night.

Our guys just don’t cash in that has not changed at all

Zone entries are tough to defend at times, but the Sabres get in trouble with the PK when they chase the puck/play the puck INSTEAD of playing their zone/spot on the ice.

Exactly what happened here. The zone entry was up the middle/shaded toward Tuch's side of the ice, but McLeod went to the puck and left his side High (near side) wide open where Geekie stepped in to score the goal.

Samuelsson is on that side of the ice, but he has to back in to defend against anyone crashing the net.

 

 

The play did happen fast but I agree McLeod left a zone open he should not have.

With this and the giveaway, I wonder if Ruff is singling him out in the locker room for his mistakes in the 1st?

If Appert does eventually get the nod, I actually might need to officially switch over to the Panthers or something. I will not be able to watch that guy coach this team.

Benson was too busy trying to look off the goalie. I'd rather he just wound up and put if off the pad for a rebound than to shoot late and go wide. Gotta capitalize on opportunities.

(Or at least put it on net.)
