He was an AHL All-Star and a player we had invested a draft pick and a few years in....On the other hand, he did look terrible in the opportunities that he had and with Ullmark, UPL and Portillo in the pipeline, and his pending free agency, perhaps he wasn't going to be here anyway and they at least got an asset.
