GAME DISCUSSION THREAD

Though the Pittsburgh and Ottawa losses were tough to take, last night and tonight are the real signs that something needs to change. When you lose to top-tier teams, it just means you aren't at that level yet...but when you lose to cellar-dwellers...yeesh.

Many are calling for a trade...and while I agree, I wonder if Darcy's comments in the paper the other day weren't a little bit of posturing. Despite a great and unexpected start to the season, no one except Miller and Myers has really been memorable. It makes you wonder if Darcy's comments aren't a blustering attempt to build up the stature of his own personnel...because none of the other GMs are interested in our players at the moment.

People throw out trades like Lecavalier, Kovalchuk, etc...but honestly, if you were a GM of one of those teams, would you want to trade for Pomminstein, Roy, Hecht, etc. with their inconsistency and salary? Even if someone like Gerbe or a draft pick is included?

Welcome friend. Yeah, the handling of the goalies is an absolute mystery.

Thanks for the welcome, PA.

One can only hope that Lalime plays one of the next three games to give Miller a little more rest before the Olympics. If it were me, hell, I'd play Miller against Boston and then Lalime against Carolina AND San Jose. But though I like Lindy's decisions most of the time, this is where I constantly shrug my shoulders and ask where he's coming from.

That's Darcy's dilemma in a nutshell. She doesn't have anything to offer.
