That Aud Smell Posted January 29, 2009 Report Share Posted January 29, 2009 Am I the only one who finds those talking baby commercials not funny and just a little creepy? it's a rule for me that adults voicing babies is not funny, and potentially creepy. but for some reason, the e-trade shtick works for me. i am not sure why. maybe it's because there's an awareness on the creators' part that they're doing something that's generally cheesy and unfunny (e.g., "look who's talking"), so they're doing it in a really genuine way? i dunno. i especially love it when the crying kid says "i wanna punch the economy in the face." i've heard this year's ads will be low-key. with detroit, which is usually a big player in the ads, currently in its downward death spiral, i was glad to stumble across a blog linking me to the single best car commercial ever to air during the superbowl, or maybe ever. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
