  1. Speaking of which, I have two tickets but cannot go. PM me if you want them.
  2. Off to Broad Street for the Sabres tonight. They have 6 points in there last 4 games and Philly has bounced back from their losing streak as well. I will miss this one as I will be seeing Star Wars and getting my inner and outer nerd on tonight
  3. Ahem.... YOOOUUUUU'RREEEEE BUFFALO SABRES ARE BACK IN ACTION TONIGHT AND READY TO RUMBLE AGAINST THE LOWLEY (LOWELY?) BEAURCRATIC ###### THAT ARE THE OTTAWA SENATORS Buffalo looks to bounce back after a tough but resilient road trip that saw them go 1-0-2 in which Robin Lehner couldn't get his head far enough out of his own ass to stop 70 shots in a game and Jack Eichel held off on buying himself a set of legos because Santa is right around the corner, and nobody can tell him he's not real I'll post the lineups tomorrow
  4. I don't think even people in Saint Louis are going to bother with this one.
  5. Yoooooouuuuuuuurrrr new-look Sabres take on the Colorado Avalanche Tuesday night! Will addition by subtraction be a thing? Will Scott Wilson play? Will we care? Is this the wakeup call the Sabres need? Find out the answers to these and other questions. Tune in late, stay late, have trouble getting up for work Wednesday! And since the Sabres are pretty much a lost cause already this year, check out this picture of the Avs ice girls.
  6. Um.... Here's what you need to know. With a win tonight, the Sabres will have won the season series between the teams for the second consecutive year. A win would also give the Sabres wins in three consecutive home games against the Flyers for the first time since Oct. 17, 2006 to Dec. 21, 2007. Eichel enters tonight's game on a career-best 10-game point streak (3+10). It's the longest active streak in the NHL and the longest by a Sabre since Tim Connolly tallied points in 16 straight from Dec. 23, 2009 to Jan. 25, 2010. In the time since his Nov. 29 return from an injury that sidelined him for 21 games, Eichel is tied for 10th among all NHL skaters with 42 points (16+26) and leads the league with 185 shots on goal. Eichel's .93 points per game this season rank him 14th among all players with at least 20 games played this season. Kane has 18 points (11+7) in his last 20 games, including nine goals in his last 13. Risto has a point in 11 of his last 16 games (1+10). O'Reilly has recorded six points (3+3) during his current four-game point streak. (That is all from the Game Notes, courtesy of our friends at @SabresPR.)
  7. The Wild come into Buffalo Tonight on a six game losing streak. The Sabres, they lost a few in row as well. Something has to give. Vanek and Pommer return to their old stomping ground as well.
  8. It's The Dominator's big night. And the Battle of the Czech Goalies
  9. Tampa likely to rest Bishop and use a 'Cuse goalie on call up Kaleta back, Risto still a-flu-ing Garrison out It's Tux and Pucks night
  10. Last time, Lowry boarded Kaleta and escaped any league punishment. Time for retribution? Buffalo has struggled against Thrashers/Jets going back to the Drury era, Time to earn a real win. Probably will get Pavelec but Hutchinson is just as hot. Ladd, Wheeler, and Little are rolling. Throw in Kane and Byfuglien and this should be a fun one to watch. Mitchell day-to-day Neuvirth starts, does he finish? Grigs and Girgs, the way it was supposed to be.
  11. Season series: The Ottawa Senators won three of four games last season against the Buffalo Sabres and have won nine of the past 12. The game was scheduled to be played Feb. 20 at First Niagara Center but was pushed back after a November snowstorm in Buffalo forced the postponement of the Sabres game with the New York Rangers, which will be played Feb. 20.
  12. Season series: On Nov. 5, the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 in a shootout. PA Parenteau scored in the third period, and then ended the game with a goal in the third round of the tiebreaker. Sabres goalie Jonas Enroth and Canadiens goalie Dustin Tokarski each made 31 saves in regulation and overtime. Montreal and Buffalo will play the back end of their home-and-home Saturday at Bell Centre.
  13. Sabres go for 4 in a row. Winnipeg won last night in Columbus, 4-2. Expecting Enroth again. Kaleta back in? Happy Thanksgiving!
  14. Season series: The Buffalo Sabres took two of three against the Washington Capitals last season, with all the games decided in overtime. Buffalo won the first two, exactly two weeks apart, in identical 2-1 shootouts. The Capitals won the finale 5-4 behind two goals and two assists from Alex Ovechkin.
  15. Second game of the four game road trip. Last night's game had the Blue and Gold playing one of their most complete games of the season. Enroth in goal tonight most likely.
  16. I don't have 26CB's pretty graphics or excellent links, but with less than 12 hours to go, it was time to start this.
  17. OK, I'll take one for the team. I'm probably as reluctant to start a GDT as Miller or Enroth are to start this game. Pens going for 16 consecutive victories without CIndy, BFLO has lost four straight. Of course BFLO is going to be without two of their top six defensemen. Who knows who else might be gone by the time the game starts. If the Sabres lose this game, lets hope the Pens are gentle. A win would be a major upset, but this game has blowout written all over it. A feel sorry for whoever is in goal. Sorry, not trying to sound pessimistic, just being realistic.
  18. Sekera has a way of shutting down OV. If he plays, we win. It's that simple. Start of a 4 point weekend.

  20. I'm being selfish here.... So far I've started two GDTs this year (Philly on 1/20 and Jersey on 3/2) and the Sabres won both. With the level they've been playing at, though, I expect a let-down against a team they should beat. So hopefully my undefeated mojo will get them over the top. With the mojo, I'm expecting them to pour it on tonight- 7-4 Sabres, in a game that will never be in doubt. But only because I started the GDT. :flirt:
  21. I hate these guys. And the Flyers are awful lately. So awful we could beat them and look good doing it. We haven't played them since the first game of the season, a 5-2 win in favor of the good guys. Just win. :pirate:
