You'd probably get a lower return then. It's time some big deals got done. The atmosphere in the arena is so toxic that its tough to imagine things ever getting better without big changes. This city and this franchise needs to hit the reset button.

Bad news for Kassian and completely embarrassing for his biggest supporters around here. He was never renowned for any intangibles like maturity or work ethic. He could still make it but he's going to need to start figuring things out soon.

They've already beaten Boston twice this season.

Wouldn't the season ticket holders know at least something about who the good players have been the last few seasons, or that Enroth and Miller are different guys? I don't know; the whole thing was messed up. Is there anything worse than having fans who go out of their way to hate the home team? Worst case scenario in other cities is that they'll ignore you. In Buffalo, people go to the games to heckle their own players, even if they're winning and even if the players have played well over the past few years.

Something is really wrong with the fans in this city. Even when we were up 3-1, the couple next to me and a bunch of the people around me were heckling the players non-stop. So these people buy their tickets, put on their jerseys, and then come to the game to pout all night and screech about how lawful everyone is. Why even do this? Also, after the Caps tied it up at 3, one drunk guy went on a rant about how much Ryan Miller sucks. He wasn't joking. That third goal was Miller's fault I guess.

That's what I'm hearing as well. The part where they downgrade the draft as it gets closer is pretty standard too. Next year's draft is always supposed to be better than this year's draft when scouts shift into CYA mode.

It definitely doesn't have to be a long rebuild. Montreal and Toronto had the third and fifth worst records in hockey last year, respectively, and this year they're playoff teams. And most of the young players we want to build around are already signed and on the way.

We hate Ennis now too? Doesn't make sense at all, but OK. The couple sitting next to me tonight was pretty delightful. The guy kept going on and on about how Pominville has "never done anything" (apparently he missed all of last season and most of the past five years) and at one point muttered about how he wanted to go down to the ice and "take that C off his jersey myself." They hated every single person on the team .....except Gerbe. Apparently Nathan Gerbe is the only good player on the team.

He finishes checks, fights, and seems pretty reliable as far as effort goes. The Sabres are a pillow soft team of emo kids, so I'd love to have Corey Tropp around. I know he's just a good 3rd liner at best but there's some Steve Ott to his game and he's the type of guy we need if we're ever going to change the organization's culture.

We shouldn't be trying to trade for anyone's core players anyway.

So they're basically treating it like a no trade clause: Try to get a deal in place and then run it by Miller for approval. From a pure hockey fan standpoint, I'd love to see him land in Chicago to set up a Finals with the Penguins+Iginla versus the Blackhawks+Miller as that could be a series to end all series. From a Sabres fan perspective... who knows?

So when would they finally ask him to do this if they were considering trading him?
