It happens every year in every sport. I remember talking to someone a few years back and they were adamant that the Bills should wait until next year to draft a quarterback because *Jake Locker* would be available then. Next year's draft is always amazeballs.

Their no.1 is right around the top five right now. If we had the 4th and 5th picks in the draft, the rebuild would look a lot better and we'd have about a 19% chance of one of those becoming the no.1 overall. Couturier is 20 with 100+ NHL games under his belt already. Not far off from what I'd want for Vanek, even if my preference is to keep him.

I don't think it has anything to do with in-game presentation in Buffalo, which actually seems to have improved in the past couple years by quite a bit. I noticed on Saturday that they no longer blast music as loud as they can instantly after the whistle at every opportunity. You can actually talk to the person next to you. The problem at the FNA is that the team sucks and that the fans themselves kinda suck too. We boo the team when it's winning now. The standing ovation on Saturday was when Gerbe decided to just start punching a guy -- taking a penalty and basically embarrassing himself decided to just hold him at bay by pushing his arms out.

Accidentally made the mistake of listening to the first 40 minutes of the show today. Sylvester can't believe that people think Regier should be fired right after he got a contract extension. Peters' big thought is "What if this year was just a fluke? Why not keep everyone and add players in the offseason?" :doh: Good news, everyone, every season is just a fluke. Don't worry about it.

Harrington was right to go after Andrew Peters last night though. Peters posted a photo of Kevin Ware's bone sticking out of his leg on Twitter so that he could make a "lower body injury" joke. I didn't see what he said about the fans, but he's probably going after the fans he has to interact with on Twitter (many of whom are completely insane -- think Whiner Line).

Right. Extra picks this year can help us move up this year. Can 2014 and 2015 picks help us move up in those drafts? Yes, but we're trying to rebuild now. I'd rather be drafting our new players as soon as possible.

Silly me for ever doubting this organization and what I'm sure is an incredible plan for future success. They've earned the benefit of the doubt.
