Two things: Even in Death Star Mode they largely kept the chances on the outside; they didn't allow the Avs to control the slot. I think Death Star Mode was the only option at the end, considering the altitude. It's probably at least as bad as being on the second game of a back-to-back. The sloppy play was probably due to fatigue.

I though his rebound control got better as the game wore on. The ERod goal.... I'm not sure the initial shot even got through to him. That was just a nasty mad scramble with the puck pinballing around.

I watched the highlights on ESPN's In the Crease show, in talking about Tage Thompson they called him "The Human Highlight Reel." 😄

"Oh my goodness" is broadcast speak for "holy *****!" They're still gushing about him in the postgame.
