  1. I purposely left the D off my remark. I think our depth forwards have played like they were shot out of a cannon. I wouldn't say the same of the defensive depth. Around the trade deadline he complained about not getting ice time. He implied he's good to go, but that Lindy/the coaching staff told him what he needed to work on.
  2. No thanks. I've seen Coop's underbelly and it ain't pretty.
  3. I heard it was only 967,000.
  4. Eh. You don't know. Maybe it sticks once in a while so when the seconds tick down it's best to make sure you have time to work it if it sticks.
  5. That's the thing about these marginal 13th/14th forwards: They're champing at the bit to get in so when they get an opportunity they're playing all out. Remember when we had placeholders just to fill out the roster?
  6. When you mentioned Rayzor's "spontaneous 'heh ...'" I immediately thought of Lyubushkin's goal.
  7. He had one or two saves that were clearly unexpected, but Oopie had the higher Sv% (.920 vs .893 for Vas)
  8. Yes, I noticed that too. It started early in the third. It wasn't Alamo Mode, but they seemed content to just clear the zone without icing it, and resetting the defense. If they had an opportunity to advance the puck they took it, but they didn't press much offensively. They did continually harass the Bolts all the way up the ice though, and didn't just give up on the puck.
  9. Zucker is just such a smart player. He might get beat to a puck or whatever but you never see him making a dumb play.
  10. I think when they give Luuk or Lyon the night off they want to give them the whole night off.
  11. Benson drove the play and gave the Bolts fits whenever he was out there. Quinn had some good chances before the EN goal, and made some smart defensive plays to break up TBL rushes. He's got 19 goals now. I think he's coming around.
  12. All is forgiven if the Otters beat TB tomorrow. Then the Sabres are back in the driver's seat. (And what can I say? I wear my heart on my sleeve. I've been really bluesin' after the last two losses.)
