  1. You can't sing LMCMT. YEEAAH UH UH UH UH UH UH HEREWEGONOWHEREWEGONOWHEREWEGONOWHEREWEGOHEREWEGO NOW LISTEN SOMEBODYMAKESOMENOISEINTHISJOINT MAN The irritation is real.
  2. I like the idea of Swords, particularly the idea of having a goal song that's somewhat personalized to the team (like the Buffalo Bills version of Shout). It's fun and identifiable. It helps the brand. But Let Me Clear My Throat is SO obnoxious that it's pretty much rubbing the goal celebration in the face of opponents while simultaneously making fun of the idea of goal songs. And if that isn't personalized to our team and what we want to be, then I don't know what is. We should be the team that has a goal song so obnoxious that it shits on everyone else's goal song. Let's own it. Wyshynski's not wrong:
  3. Cocaine is definitely "fashionable" right now and it has been for about two to three years. It might as well be snowing in Los Angeles.
  4. This I know. (Unless it's on NBC, NBCSN, NHLN, etc). I suppose I need to set up the boolean search to hit only 638 HD.
  5. Consumer Recreation Services?
  6. I've had the issue of DirecTV searching and finding programming with "Buffalo Sabres" in the title or description, but the err of recording the opponent's broadcast (and not recording the home broadcast).
  7. Who keeps letting Kiss 98.5 keep with our in-game entertainment? Boo Nicholas Picholas. Boo him.
  8. Yeah, I had Who tickets for Staples Center and they postponed until May.
  9. Went to AC/DC at Dodger Stadium last night, row 10 up against the stage extension. Kicked. Ass. Just incredible. One of the pics from my phone:
  10. Not looking for locations/urls, just confirmation of video/no video tonight.
  11. PegulaNET
  12. Leafs forgot that tanking doesn't work in the preseason.
  13. He was. http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=679827 Bonus: here's a clip from Ted from an email exchange I had with him around that time, re: broadcasts.
  14. I think he'd benefit more from being up all year long. I believe he's mentally and physically ready to take on the challenges that playing in the NHL would bring. I think he benefits much less from refining his AHL-level game.
  15. Oh, he has ties to Buffalo, but they're not good ones.
  16. Eichel to ReinhartSCOOORRRRRRRRRESSS This is a nice thing. I also like how Dan has been settling in. Duffer, of course, has been killing it- even did a great job for NHLN at the AAP game.
  17. Good for the league. Bad for the Beauts. Net positive. Excellent. A standout at Minnesota as WCHA Defensive POTY, finalist for the Kazmaier, and member of Team USA. I like where this is going.
  18. Who stole the rubbers from the evidence jar? Patty stole the rubbers from the evidence jar. Who, me? Yes, you! Couldn't be! Then who?
  19. Well, now this is happening.
  20. Compared to some of the cloth debacles we've endured over the years, I'm mostly happy with where we're at now. We've got blue and gold, we've got an update of the original crest, we've got a nod to the belt striping we used to have without looking like a diaper, and both home and away jerseys look good. But I think with the brand new era of hockey we're about to experience, combined with the inevitable jersey redesigns coming with Adidas, there's an opportunity to grab the brass ring and make a truly timeless classic. Elements for improvement: Colors: The turn towards navy was a fashion-related design choice to attempt to make the jersey have more mass appeal (the same thing is done with cars: mute the colors so that they don't turn anyone off from buying). We don't need that. Buffalo has proven that it will support a good-looking jersey with league-high sales. Keep the bright colors in the game and bring back navy blue. It'll be a symbol of our bright new future. Striping: Bring back the pure yellow triple stripe on the arms and belt, and, if we're going big, bring back the triple-triple socks. At the very least, bring back the double-triple striped socks. Notice that there's very little white on the classics (only Buffalo, swords, and number outlines are white on the classics), and the result is a beautiful, brilliant contrast. Don't mute with grey or excess white. In fact, fashion tip: grey should never touch yellow, that's gross. Other bits: no piping. None. Keep the classic look. For instance, examine the following picture. Then mentally transplant the updated logo from the jerseys on the left onto the jersey on the right. Gorgeous. Even better when you go from double-double stripes to triple stripes.
