  1. I agree with this wholeheartedly. Now, listen. The U.S./NASA put a man on the moon and has done some other incredible sh1t. Incredible. But once matters get down into office settings, record keeping, and a variety of people (e.g., Arnold, Gladys) having access to the documents or information? Then it's on like Donkey Kong and any and all big truths will leak. The X-Files was (is!) a cool show. It's also fictional. Ironically, the overall sentiment of the internet was essentially: "Okay, aliens are real and they're here. Can we please do something about how much rent is where I live? It's ridiculous. Also, I need better health care coverage."
  2. There’s a limit to how much PSE can expect to recoup from STHs’ PSL’s. That’s where the offset money will come from for the owners. And I think they’re already at a budgetary point where they’re digging into the Pegula yacht budget. Is that exclusive or inclusive of the lawsuits for violations of the community benefit covenants and MWBE requirements?
  3. "more critical" may be pushing it, but "equally important" is definitely fair, imo.
  4. There are surely more overruns to come. And there’s a limit to how much the Pegulas can leverage the PSL’s to recoup their piece of stadium costs. They might need to sell that mega yacht of theirs.
  5. A $300M overrun in early days - and PSE being on the hook for it - would probably help explain why the Bills’ lead negotiator on that deal is no longer with the team.
  6. This idea gives me some comfort. This prompts a new worry on my part (I have issues): I've heard and read that the Sabres are destined to take a big step back in GF, since a slew of players had career years last year. Yeah? Nah? (Hold me.) Sir! ... SIR!
  7. I'm gonna honk this region. A number of very cool spots in and around there. The vibes are interesting too (sorry for lack of a better term). I can't quite place my finger on what those vibes are -- I think that's an indication that they're unique.
  8. In honour of the former thread entitled To Adams, or not to Adams: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The successes and failures of our own prospects, Or to use assets to patch a sea of positional troubles, And by acquisition end them?
  9. I’m looking forward to the entire first page being threads that are variations on this theme.
  10. Ryan O’Halloran of TBN reports that Allen briefly left practice because of an apparent right elbow issue … but there’s no other information available. 😣
  11. This thread is giving me a sad anew. I just don't think GM KA has done enough to bolster the forward ranks.
  12. Sheeeesh on the Wilson deal.
  13. that number was featured in the show i saw. and the guy who did the big guitar solo was pretty old - 70 possibly? anywya, it was incredible. i don't know much about the bands' lineups, etc. (and, frankly, their whole frickin' ... mythology (?)), so i'm not sure who the guy was.
  14. Amen. I love him for it.
  15. Josh Allen is, on some level, a 12 year-old boy.
  16. Yes! I’ve claimed that one as well. I omitted it above. Either MJ or Medicine Hat was my first Sabrespace home. Then came Bobcaygeon - around when Gord got sick. Then this current one. Gotta be Chilliwack next.
  17. (But I might have to go with Cobden as a vigil for Quinner?)
  18. Literally just mentioned this town’s name to my son. It’s definitely on the list. Maybe next?
  19. Seeking a strategic partner for ESPN is what I'd seen. Disney, in general, seems like it's in a state of extreme flux.
  20. man, i already told you. it's an homage not a ruse. does anyone who's a regular here think i'm actually from/living in temiskaming shores? or before that bobcaygeon? or before that medicine hat? speaking of which, i'm open for a new canadian locale to designate as my sabrespace "home" (houme?). there are so many good options. i got my current one by opening my weather app's radar page, scrolling north, and noodling around for cool names.
  21. Same. Last year seemed jinxy from the get-go -- with every outlet and sports book pegging the Bills as the favourites. And honestly, if Von Biller doesn't mess up his knee, who knows how things shake out. (Well ... the Offence would still have shat the bed against the Bengals in the divisional round. So there's that.) Being off the radar is always better. I'm looking forward to a fun season.
