  1. Also, shoutout @LGR4GM on being precise with how he embeds Tweets. I'll have to wait and see if that protocol can resolve my mobile interface issue as well.
  2. Did they move it out to the football stadium a couple years ago? Thankfully, the fire appears to have been limited to a freestanding ice cream (dip n dots?!) cart. I'm sure that there will be some smoke and water damage, though.
  3. Is that equally true for when you're on a phone? I think that's where I've had issues. And not just here. On Twitter (X), if I copy a link to a Tweet on my phone and embed it as a reply Tweet, no graphic preview is generated. I'll make sure I'm doing this and not some other means of sharing the link. I'll also try waiting longer and see if that helps.
  4. I only regret that the poster included a single hard return.
  5. That doesn't look great. Hopefully, there's not too much damage. Also: How do you @LGR4GM get Tweets to embed now that the site is called X or whatever?
  6. I'll also point out that not all "annual losses" are necessarily presently realized (cash) in nature. Amortization and depreciation may show up as liabilities on your annual income statement. I'm not an accountant, so I'm not sure whether the Pegulas would be obliged to put cash into the Sabres to make those non-cash loss pieces of the budget balance.
  7. The Sabres have reportedly lost money on their P&L (Income) statement for most years that the Pegulas have owned them. At year's end, if the Sabres were in the red, how was the budget balanced such that all obligations were met? Pegula bucks, presumably. Now, from the standpoint of the Pegulas' balance sheet, there's been a great increase in wealth. But that positive balance sheet won't necessarily help them pay off year to year losses. Unless of course they're borrowing (financing) in order to pay off those annual losses and the company's increased value is allowing them to borrow in a way where they're not much out of pocket.
  8. I follow you. You mean "paper profit" or an unrealized gain.
  9. Darling's call on that Quebec Game 5 was probably normal by his standards -- and yet it sounds just superb.
  10. Listening now from the start. Darling sounds fantastic. Just a sterling PBP guy. Plenty of juice and excitement. Not sure what you're hearing or not hearing.
  11. Is his PBP included in that compilation?
  12. Great find. I definitely forgot. What an unfulfilled era that was for the team. I blame Housley. Why not.
  13. This is glorious. Did they film that round table at the old Aud Club? Between the light fixture, the balcony camera angle, and the apparent sound of cutlery and dishes clinking, I think so.
  14. OT - Germain Ifedi LB - Christian Kirksey QB - Shane Beuchele (KC cut (they opted for Blaine Yo Gaba Gabbert as QB2)) No idea what these players might bring to the table, but at least Beane and his FO have tried to create more depth at each of the team's weakest positions.
  15. Hansen is apparently a Cover1 writer (?). Here’s the full write up. As someone pointed out in the retweet thread, adding Cook and Torrence to Beane’s 2nd round grade should boost his poor metrics in that round.
  16. Okay - getting closer. https://x.com/kevinmassare/status/1696566761993236553?s=46&t=8AaprMag9hOIH1BLrzxS3Q (Bummer the Tweets don’t (readily) populate here anymore. Thanks, Elon.)
  17. I tried Googling to find that ranking’s origins (and therefore methodology). I searched nfl gm ranking draft “dvr “. The first result I got was someone posting something to The Stadium Wall. 😂
  18. I don't think Mahomes becomes who and what he is if he were drafted into Buffalo at that time. Without Andy Reid acting as his Yoda, I think Skywalker Mahomes would have still been really good and exciting, but also would have had some Jeff George to him.
  19. Those games where Leaf fans just completely take over are unusual, I think (I hope). We'll see what the coming season brings, I guess.
  20. They were. No. Welcome to Bills Mafia.
  21. I obviously agree with this. That said, I am also giving additional thought - it's more just whirring in the background - to @dudacek's point about how damn MANY Leaf (and Canadien? (and Jets? (and Canuck?))) fans there are right over the border. It's a peculiar, unique conundrum for the Sabres as a franchise.
  22. Glad to read that you're doing okay.
  23. Thanks for the heads up. He's gotta be better than Quessenberry (sp?). I hear that the Lions have a good team/roster, so the fact that he got cut there may allow for the possibility that he's decent.
  24. In related news, the aforesaid guy from Thorold has already texted me to ask if I will be his ticket broker, if need be.
