  1. From everything I've read and heard, someone with a creative, flexible mind for the QB position will need to groom Jackson. I don't think he's a good fit for the Bills.
  2. If over-drafted in the first round, it sounds like Rudolph will likely become some combination of EJ Manuel and Elvis Grbac.
  3. Boy, that'd be dumb. He'll be there at 22.
  4. I'm not suggesting that Schefter is in on the act. Just that those leaking him tips have that motive. And I think Mayfield going 1st is bad for the Bills.
  5. Fair point. But my thought is that they might want to move back from 1 to 3 in exchange for, say, another pick in the top 50, another in the top 100, and then give back one or more of 150, 175, and 188. Keep the same number of picks, but move up.
  6. Shame. Hang in, millbank.
  7. I won't scroll through everything. Were people being sh1tty to millbank again? I have no patience for that.
  8. That Schefter Tweet has misdirection written all over it. The Browns want someone -- the Jets, you'd think -- to think they're taking Mayfield. The idea being, the Browns are okay with taking Allen and would invite moving back to 3 so they can add picks.
  9. That reads like a kid being an idiot. Except he did it on Twitter — not just on the team bus or in the locker room. There are reasons not to want him. That isn’t one of them. Okay. Yeah. A super huge idiot. For people saying his agent is a savant: He didn’t have his Twitter scrubbed. Feels like that’d be agenting 101.
  10. Deleted. What was it?
  11. math is hard.
  12. Agreed on drafting a RB that high. Howevah. The kid from Penn State appears to be a very special player. It'd be justified to take him if you felt assured you were getting a Gurley/Elliott stud (or maybe even better).
  13. ^ Yep, yep. Depth and competition. Depth and competition.
  14. Wow - I remember that now about round 2. No Hasek in those games, either?
  15. Jesus Christmas. That game is an eternity unto itself.
  16. Fooking right. (Unless it is?) I will say, my annoyance turned to amusement when I watched the recent interviews of Rosen. I like that guy. https://twitter.com/JordanHeckFF/status/988870462443835393 Sorry it won't embed.
  17. History teaches that, of the 6 who are being discussed as 1st round picks (that includes Rudolph and Jackson), only ___ will turn out to be very good or better than that; ____ will attain journeyman status; and ___ will eventually wash out of the league without doing anything meaningful. (The blanks are intentional. I have no frickin' idea.)
  18. Two things about Allen: 1. I heard him on Pardon My Take and found him very, very likable. Just came off as a solid dude with a good head on his shoulders (and a better than average sense of humour). 2. I recently read, for the first time, that one of his hallmarks is that coveted 24/7 grind-don't-stop slavish devotion to all matters foobaw. Rightly or wrongly, that sort of thing really seems to matter to scouts and GMs. A lot. He's gonna be drafted very high. Maybe #1 overall.
  19. Ha - now it's my turn, evidently. I don't base my hunch on anything but the history of the position and the frequency of injuries in the league. He's a marvelous talent who might go to the HOF.
  20. ^ My take: Last season was McCoy's last good one in the NFL as a featured back.
  21. Caught this for the first time on Sabres "goal a day" on Twitter, but could not post the link here directly. So I found the camera feed on YouTube. At the ~:17 mark, Rip gets left hanging. HARD. Also, I'd never heard a version of this clip end with Rick asking "Ohhh. How do you spell second round?!" https://twitter.com/SabresGoalADay/status/988798002604232705 So, it seems like YMMV on those series-ending calls. They're not all going to be "Are you ready, Legion of Doom?!" or "Now do you believe?!" (which was followed by the awful "scary good" bit) or whatever that call about Jimmy Hoffa was (maybe that was not a series ender?). Sometimes, it's Rick wondering how to spell simple words. Also: Moog didn't stick around for the handshake?
  22. Not atall. It was a proto binge watch show. We watched it obsessively when we had wee babies to care for at night. I’ve not watched a single binge show since. Not one.
  23. i don't think size is the impediment it used to be, or has been at various times. he's listed as 5'10". i'm sure he's quite slight. maybe that's what a year in the A would be for.
