  1. Well you definitely got the Bills president thing wrong. Was that a PA Whopper? Also: Kim is rarely criticized here? Pshaw. Finally, did @john wawrow mistake @PASabreFan for @Ghost of Dwight Drane?
  2. Much harder for me to understand the abuse they hand out when challenged (engaged) by a reader.
  3. I basically take that as fact nowadays.
  4. problem being, it's not a political story. it's a sports story. i'm not all that interested in discussing it, in any case. didn't josh allen have some historical (teenaged?) tweets that were similarly bad? something about "if it ain't white, it ain't right" and so on?
  5. For. Sure. Hamilton was downright insistent on the matter. I do recall that at least some of his reporting on that subject was based on his own ... observations of the team's dynamic. Non-verbal stuff, etc. I do not recall whether Hamilton also said his reporting on that subject was "sourced." But I feel like it must've been.
  6. I know I am repeating myself, but: His absence from the first slate of team-facilitated interviews struck me as a dark, dark sign.
  7. Great to see Harrington’s tone in midseason form. There are 4 player interviews on day one of the offseason, following JBOT’s presser. McCabe and Okposo are that high in the batting order because they wear or wore a letter. The letter “A”. Not having the captain on day one is, at best, a terrible look. At best. Olofsson and Dahlin are there as the bright new shiny toys. [Oh look, a chicken!]
  8. This, and there’s no Eichel among the team’s official post season interview slate. Just McCabe, Okposo, Olofsson (sp?), and Dahlin. It feels like it’s somehow gonna get worse.
  9. Tyler Ennis sighting!
  10. Happy Birthday, young buck. By the way, the footage of him on the Twitter doing the red-solo-cup-magic-trick on ... Zack Moss (?) is pretty great. Without being Pollyanna-ish, it's another example of why he's got the leadership thing element firmly within his grasp.
  11. I follow you, I think. It is becoming sort of a never-ending tail-chasing exercise to keep pol1t1cs out of every thread.
  12. Yeah - I reckon I missed that nuance (?). I'm not sure what the patriot stuff is about, tbh. I guess so long as no one's accurately alluding to home addresses, we good?
  13. Yeah - that ain't it. Whither the mods?
  14. Ed should have stuck to taking his horse out for a night on the town.
  15. Ah, yes. Good catch. That's probably right. Based on the report I read, that definitely sounded like the situation - they found it following a search of the vehicle.
  16. The news about Oliver is discouraging, but not distressing. The report implied that he may have been impaired by a substance other than alcohol. And he had an open container of beer in the car. Not great. The pistol is hardly surprising. Not having it licensed is dumb.
  17. God bless, and may the odds be in your favour.
  18. I'm not sure what exactly that chart shows. The guy who posted it essentially said "take it with a grain of salt." As others pointed out in the replies: That chart encompasses more than just wide receivers. Also, that chart doesn't reveal how "drops" are being assessed. There's dropping a ball that Brees float-zip-dropped into your hands, and then there's dropping a ball that is technically catchable but was needlessly rocketed at or just above your head.
  19. ^ One pair of story lines I don’t quite get: (1) The Bills had a bottom of the barrel set of wide receivers last season. (2) The Bills have arguably the best set of (3) wide receivers this* season. One or the other could be true, but not both. My guess is that neither is true.
  20. Or is "Pedants" here being deployed as a plural adjectival noun?
  21. Right. And there's a certain level of obliviousness (?), or lack of critical (obsessive?) thinking that is part of that risk-taking capacity. Ha. I will add: It's possible to dial that stuff back a bit. But it's damn near impossible to install it if just ain't there.
  22. The things that give me hope for the guy is that he markedly improved his intermediate passing in year 2 (so, he showed he can improve on areas of weakness), he's got natural leadership abilities (his teammates like (love?) him and will play for him), and he seems to have the requisite balance of intelligence and ... rock headedness that seem to be the hallmarks of most successful QBs. As to the latter point, if you listen to the Pardon My Take podcast, this is a running joke from PFT: You want your QB to be smart, but not too smart.
  23. I discount a Josh Allen opinion/take from anyone - pundit, fan, or otherwise - who's come to any kind of firm conclusion on what Josh Allen is and isn't, can or can't be. His ceiling remains some sort of evolution of Cam Newton, which would, IMO, be good enough QB play to win a SB if delivered consistently. His floor is still a scary proposition, though (and includes scenarios in which his play is inconsistent within a season (boom and bust)). So, on the one extreme are the fan bois of #BillsMafia who love to talk about Josh like he's their beer pong bro and scoff at all the h8ers, and on the other extreme are the out of town pencil neck wanna be game film analysts who peddle in Twitter click bait. The truth, such as it is, is somewhere firmly in the middle, for now.
  24. It’s an interesting graph. Take it with a grain of salt though. The exchange here in the replies provides some context:
