  1. Given the economics, I really wonder if Murphy makes the team. They have, what, 10 d-line penciled in as of now? How many do they keep? 8? 9?
  2. It's a shame that Jake couldn't take a cue from his mom and get his hand size enhanced.
  3. Ouch. That won’t do much for grip strength.
  4. Reading the hand measurements of average dudes makes me realize that Fromm does have some itty bitty paws at 8 and 7/8. Burrow is 9 on the dot, btw.
  5. Oklahoma D -- just this side of throwing against air. (Ha.)
  6. I'd imagine a full flexed extension is permitted. That said, the measurement of the hand is just one metric. There's also stuff like grip strength, arm strength, etc. that factors into throwing the ol' pigskin.
  7. The Fromm pick definitely struck me as good asset/roster management. I also saw a couple of mentions on Twitter about how the Bills were partly motivated by a desire to keep him away from the Pats. Speculation, maybe, but it's fun to think about. p.s. I heard that his hand size is 8 7/8" -- the received wisdom is that you gotta have 9" minimum to be an NFL QB. He wants to model his game after Drew Brees (which, heck yeah), but, not for nothing, Brees has huge mits - well over 10".
  8. I thought you were gonna post this: Also: That's a Brendan Fraser (sp?) looking mufugger.
  9. It's week ... something of quarantine, fellas. Message board tangents are one of the few things I have left.
  10. ^ Okay. Otoh: JAY Z.
  11. I hear you. The issues that arise from the middle east are impossibly complicated, for me. He may be a bit of a mixed bag? Anyhoo - safe to say that a strongly pro Israel Jewish American wouldn’t be a fan of an avowed white nationalist. It’s not like any chief executives in America have placed such conflicting world views in their cabinet of top advisors.
  12. Probably so, on at least some level (money). I recall seeing him with Jay Z recently - throwing his weight behind a criminal reform movement.
  13. I’m lightly informed. Doesn’t he hob nob with Hollywood types?
  14. I wonder how the left-leaning Jewish owner of the Patriots feels about this signing. Anyhoo - the guy’s credibly expressed regret over getting that ink.
  15. Two promising 2nd day picks. It’s fun to have some sports to think about.
  16. It's only the QB that worries me. There are plenty of detractors for the tackle they chose. And that CB sounds like he has big upside, but is still raw.
  17. I did clench the ol' sphincter and butt cheeks a bit when I saw Tua to the Dolphins. If he gets and stays healthy, I think he's going to be really good. And I'm not gonna be in the business of wishing ill on the guy when it comes to being healthy. Maybe there's hope that the Dolphins can just manage to screw it up in some other way.
  18. ^ I didn’t read the article. I was more talking about how tax relief and certain federal “loans” were being handled.
  19. The rich get richer, indeed. This is a straight-up smash and grab. It’s incredible.
  20. BOTH SIDES! Ha. Man, this content has had a little bit of errthang. What a wild ride this has been from/with @Theana745 ... btw, there's also a @Theana74 in the Members roster.
  21. 745 is a Florida area code, fwiw. Not Boca Raton’s area code ... Ft. Lauderdale, though.
  22. Seems like there’s a good chance that they fail to recapture past glory. Which, as you say, would be glorious.
  23. I still think about that sometimes. On the one hand, she needs to be tough and maybe a little feared to make her way in a high-stakes, male-dominated industry. On the other hand ... not the most promising of signs that she sort of embraced the sobriquet.
  24. Fair points, there. And I think you make another good, larger point: The management, organizational structures -- such as they've been -- have mostly been a hot mess in Sabreland since 2/11/11.
