  1. If we do ship out VO then I'd think Peterka or Quinn could find more PP time. I think Peterka's a more complete player so voted for him yet Quinn definitively has the offensive upside too.
  2. Housley was one of best offensive defenseman ever and played earlier than Mogilny so disagree on that one.
  3. I'm 46, so yes I saw Mogilny at his best. I still remember the 76 goal season and how excited it was getting his autograph that same year.
  4. Probably because Fedorov and Bure were better. I personally think Mogilny should be in because he opened things up for others to leave Russia, was above average etc. but who knows maybe some in the committee have ill feelings towards him *shrugs*
  5. The selection announcement will be made live on Wednesday, June 21. on TSN4, TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as NHL Network at 3:00pm ET.
  6. I hated way Peca left too but as I see it today these guys deserve money with the possibility of no career after hockey.
  7. First they take Drury, now Peca? Two of my favorite Sabres of all time.
  8. If Gibson lands in Pittsburgh than Tristan Jarry be available. He's been good not great for the Penguins but last year he might have been beset by an injury he acquired in the Winter Classic according to https://www.pensburgh.com/2023/6/13/23758348/2022-23-season-in-review-tristan-jarry The same article reports he might be looking for a 5-6 year deal which might be difficult if he going to just be a spot starter while Levi develops unless the Sabres can find a fair contract for him as a part time starter he could be on a short list of options.
  9. Not mine but Chris Drury and Luke Wilson
  10. Straight up? nope as once a goalie hits 30 he's on borrowed time and lately the Jets been middle of the pack even with him in the nets.
  11. I suppose but it just irks me that expansion teams come in with a complete clean slate as to me it's far easier in a salary cap driven league to start at zero then rebuild on previously failed attempts (see Sabres rebuild as example). So I'm a disgruntled far that these new teams can be good right out of the bat meanwhile I have to endure what feels like a constant rebuild that's been going on since we lost Drury, Briere and Miller.
  12. Most of the NHL should be unhappy, as these expansion teams are doing far better than I would like. As to me I want expansion teams to struggle or be bottom feeders for at least 3-4 seasons. Yet here we are with teams like the Knights and Kraken making the playoffs and the Stanley Cup Finals within years of starting up.
  13. Bylsma wasn't a bad coach IMHO, it's just GMTM failed to bring the right guys or just the combo of Eichel, O'Reilly and Kane was just a toxic group. Toss in Lehner was horrible in shoot offs for whatever odd reason.
  14. As Levi shows you can find goalies late in the draft and to me it's a position you draft every year because you never know what you could unearth. Toss in if you have too many you can usually trade one away for more than you invested in them to begin with.
  15. No love for Gabriel Perreault? I realize he's not Gilbert but few our but with that name it be nice to see Perrault in a Sabres blue and gold again.
  16. I agree, I don't understand why they don't show the balls fall as the whole card thing is convoluted as all heck.
  17. Yet am I'm sure the NHL sell more Bedard jerseys if was a Blackhawk vs Anaheim or Columbus.
  18. But the NHL has to let them rebuild with Kane and likely Towes gone next season.
  19. Miroslav Satan is the President and General Manager of the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation.
  20. Going into the season I thought Casey was better than Dylan. I was obviously wrong but still like the kid. Yet he might not have a long term chance here.
  21. This team needs better goaltending and defense. Greenway might help the bottom 6 but not a priority IMHO.
