Going into the season I thought Casey was better than Dylan. I was obviously wrong but still like the kid. Yet he might not have a long term chance here.

This team needs better goaltending and defense. Greenway might help the bottom 6 but not a priority IMHO.

30 pts is generous, 20 seems more realistic.

I'm not sure a 2nd round pick seems like a lot for a 3rd line winger with limited scoring potential. Yes we could need the physical presence but feels like a lot. Then we added for a 6th/7th Damn for a prospect which is meh. Color me unimpressed. The Petersen trade to me the only one that feels was a good trade for us.

With Toronto tight against the cap they can't activate Matt Murray from long term IR. I know we tried to get him at the draft and spurned us, anyone think we can pry him away from them?

I doubt one be available I'd still be looking for a starting goalie, UPL been good but not great. Comrie's been horrible and Anderson while good is only good for spot duty.

He sounds like an ideal 3rd liner with that description, I don't see why people have him ahead of JJP. As to me JJP has more offensive upside.

I was thinking more Bob Boughner. I think he's a good bottom pair Dman but still like to see a top 4 RHD that can pair with Dahlin or Power that can get us 30 points a season.

I think Comrie gets a little less work like 35 games and think UPL starts 25-30 and the rest going to Anderson.

Instead of tossing a swap of 3rd rounders in the Eichel trade and have some fore thought. That could have used that could use if want a RFA like Jake Oettinger. This team can afford to trade a 1st or more picks considering we just had three 1st Rounders last week and a few more young kids developing. I'm tired of waiting for unearthing another Miller.

Subban is our emergency goalie now.

He's a better long term answer than Anderson or Dell or Subban for that matter. I'm not upset with him in the group yet it be nice to have a bonafide guy that can put in for 60 games and not look back which we've lacked since Miller.

We need him or UPL to play at least 41 and the other 2 guys to play the other half of the season IMO.

Adams is really dumpster diving for these goalies, first Murray and now Allen. Why not go after someone like Antti Raanta? Who at least has a save percentage over .910?

I'm sure that because our goalie coach worked with Murray in Pittsburgh we thought we had a chance to "fix him". That said I'm glad we didn't get him. Yet we need someone to add to the mix that can compete with UPL or play at least 35 games as I can't see Anderson lasting long with his age and recent injury history.

I think we drafted well yet think could have used our picks better, see the trades for DeBrincat and Husso trades. As it's nice to have kids on the farm but we still need some NHL level help especially in the nets.
