I disagree, to me we need proven NHLers that can play on the first or second line. That's why I proposed my trade, toss in I wanted us to draft Boldy back in the day. Rossi is a question mark because of his size and hasn't shown anything in part because injury last season.

What would you propose we get instead?

If we got Boldy, Erickson-El and Fiala and a draft pick or two I'd be very very happy.

I think if we trade Eichel for some good players Reinhart will stay. I know everyone talks about LA as a good team to deal with but think a better team might be Minnesota. As most feel they need a center, yet seem rather strong at LW. I'd love to see if can get Fiala and Eriksson El.

I think if Eichel is moved it has to be for two proven players that at least under contract for 2 (or more seasons), 2 draft picks and a top 5 prospect. That way hopefully the two coming can have someone can relate too and with said contract status they can see how the team develops with them, if they bolt we can draft two replacements and safeguard a possible bust with a top end prospect too.

Trade Seattle Miller and a 2nd for a 7th if they promise to take Risto.

JP Dumont and Doug Gilmore for Michael Grosek, Daniel Briere for Chris Gratton, Begin and Drury for ultimately was Keith Ballard were amazing adds. As were Juneau for Barnarby,, Grier for Klesis. Peca was a 3rd liner/short handed specialist. His agent Gerry Meehan called him more and that's what lead to the whole hold out fiasco to begin with. I hated it as a Peca fan (I still own his goat head jersey) but I sided with the Sabres in that dispute. Connolly was a better scorer than Peca yet Peca was a better leader, grinder etc.

Colorado gave up 7 goals and their goalie still has a GAA of 2.00. Goaltending and strong PPs take you far in the NHL and think the Avalanche can get both.

Forcing Staal on a line with unproven talent is a waste of his talent. Eaken's career high is 21 assists, sorry that isn't going to help Skinner get to 25 plus goals.

Get rid of Miller first as don't think Mountour be expansion eligible with him on a one year deal.

I can't see Staal accepting a role on the 3rd line and Eakin on the 2nd line? No on so many levels.

If Peca didn't have that nasty holdout to go finish his career here he'd easily be my top guy. Yet looking back Mike Foligno was a favorite of mine during my childhood but ultimately the one guy I always respected before he became a Sabre and after he left was Chris Drury.

It's fear if a team does it opens up the can of worms that another team will do it to them. I agree it should be done more as to me draft picks, especially in the NHL, are over valued.

His next NHL goal will be his first NHL goal.
