Today is day 5 since having symptoms and testing positive. Feeling better than the past few days, hopefully done with the worst of it. Lost taste and smell on day 3. Days 2, 3 and 4 were the toughest. Prolly the worst sore throat I've ever had... could barely swallow, steady fever, fatigue, etc.. the typical flu stuff. Throat is much much better today, fever becoming less frequent. Dry cough just from the throat irritation. Considering myself lucky as have not had any respiratory issues and overall it seems to be progressing quickly. The plan is to continue to rest, eat well (been taking mineral supplements), drink lots of water, and just be patient. This Friday will be day 10, after which I'll remove myself from isolation if symptom free for 24hrs. It's been strange to be home this whole time and not see my boys, or any other part of the house.

Agreed. But, at the same time I know dozens of folks who have received the full two doses who are single, work from full-time at a computer, but are in the "health care" industry. Would those doses be better of served to teachers? Absolutely. Look, I'm not saying to take vaccine away from teachers to give to pro-athletes... but there is already a significant amount of those shenanigans taking place.

It went through my younger son's (14yo) team two weeks ago during a tournament in Dallas. The tournament protocol was that any players sitting next to the positive player in the locker room were removed from the tournament. We had 2 kids test positive over that weekend. Over the next week the count grew seemingly every single day, we're up to 10 players and 6 parents infected. My son tested negative after returning home. Fast forward a week... I test positive yesterday after having mild flu like symptoms, however I did not go on the Dallas trip. My wife and 2 boys are fine, and I've been very diligent with the mask and hand washing... no clue where/how I caught it. Kinda frustrating to catch it at this point tbh.

This was inevitable. On the brightside, no new playera/coaches added to the list today. If that continues, they'll likely begin practices tomorrow or Wednesday, and play next week.

Both under Disco Dan. 81 points in Eichel's rookie season, with a lineup that featured the likes of Cody Franson, Delauriers, Legwand, Gorges, Colaiaccovo, and Chad Johnson in net. It's not a popular opionion but firing him was a huge mistake. They regressed by 3 points in his second season. He was without Eichel for 3 months, drops 3 points in the standings, and he gets the boot for Phil Housley. Phil. HOUSLEY. A guy with zero pro head coaching experience... but hey Eichel didn't like Disco Dan right? Eichel was what 20 years old at the time? Smh. Atleast Eichel really likes RK. Good. Great. One of my earliest memories is standing next to my Dad (up to his thigh anyway) in the original Aud Club at the bar, probably around 1977-78. Him and his buddies sharing laughs drinking beers, and myself with a root beer taking it all in... the shiny stainless steel bar (iirc?), cigarette smoke, people talking laughing... it was loud. it was also warm and comforting after almost catching frostbite running into the arena after parking what seemed like several miles away underneath the skyway in blizzard like conditions. That said I was too young to remember how good the team or franchise was back then, but I do know they were very successful and the talk of the town at that time.

I can't see how they play Friday, it's 4 days away and they just added another to the list today. What I don't understand is if everybody has been quarantining since the shutdown 8 days ago and tested daily, how did Dahlin suddenly test positive (assuming he did) today, 8 days later? Either they didn't actually quarantine, or haven't been tested daily. The fact that either of those could be true is blowing my mind rn. The only reasonable way to play again is if they go 4 or 5 days without a new positive test and get enough guys back off the list. That could be easily be another week at this rate.
