  1. Are there still teachers in NY who can't get vaccinated due to supply issues?
  2. When you're the team's leading scorer and yet you're a -20 after 26 games..... you just think we should ignore that? Fine. Nothing jumps out at you there as hey, maybe he's not good defensively? C'mon. I provided hard statistical evidence that Sam gets scored on at a high rate when compared to his teammates. I'd like to see some evidence from the Reinhart apologists that illustrate he's a net positive for the team at ES.
  3. I never said anything about PP, goaltending, team defense, etc... I'm simply stating what the numbers are telling us, and that's that Dahlin and Reinhart get scored on at a higher rate at ES than anybody else on the team. IMO RK hasn't been using Dahlin correctly, he still young, growing, getting stronger, I believe he still needs to be protected a bit in how they deploy him. I'd argue the same can be said for Reinhart... he's not a great skater, weak on pucks, weak defensively, gets knocked down in battles, turns pucks over, etc.. He can be an asset because of what he contributes on the PP, his willingness to play the net front in the O-zone, elite hand-eye for deflections, etc.. Look, there are a lot of elite offensive players who are poor defensively with poor plus/minus. Howeer, do Sam's contributions to the offense outweigh his shortcomings in the other areas of the ice? At ES, the answer is clearly no.
  4. It's a skating league and he's neither fast nor explosive. His agility is off the charts tho, but if somebody gets a step on him, he's toast.
  5. I did, he's a fantastic role player, PK, faceoffs, excels defensively, smart.... every team needs a few of those guys. Anybody who's played the game knows It's not just about points. You need glue guys.
  6. Now change TOI to ES TOI and you're almost there. Staal is third worst at -7 TRpm
  7. You clearly don't understand TRpm. It removes the TOI disparity when comparing +/- of players on the same team. Reinhart and Dahlin are getting scored on at higher rate at ES than the rest of the team, that's a fact, prove me wrong.
  8. TRpm normalizes plus minus based on % of ES min played. Dahlin and Reinhart are getting scored on at a much higher rate at ES than anybody else on the team. That said I'm fine if they keep Sam but they need to do a better job of protecting his defensive deficiencies.
  9. -8 TRpm, second worst on the team to Dahlin's -13. Yeah the team around him sucks, but not everyone is a -20.
  10. I'm good with keeping him, sure put him w Cozens, but the LW needs to be defensively responsible and I'd be weary of DZ starts. There's a reason he's a -20 in 26 games. Yeah I know plus minus is a flawed stat, but -20? C'mon now.
  11. Reinhart is a good player, a good good player, but he's a microcosm of what plagues this team. Disappears for stretches, weak on pucks, turns pucks over in key areas of the ice, falls down a lot, isn't physical, skating is below league average, can't defend to save his life, always late on the backcheck. Again, if he's not scoring, he's a liability. He has a very tradeable expiring contract with RFA status, the return could be significant. He'd be a very good piece for a team that already excels at the details.
  12. Karl Taylor Under Taylor’s guidance, the Admirals finished with their best record in 19 seasons of play in the AHL, going 41-14-5-3 (90 points, .714%) and capturing the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as regular-season champions. Milwaukee allowed a league-low 2.24 goals per game and ranked seventh in scoring (3.35) – the third-highest goals-per-game differential (+1.11) in the AHL in the last decade – and established a team record with a 13-game winning streak from Nov. 2 to Dec. 1. Milwaukee’s special teams were outstanding in this season as well, ranking second in the league on the power play (25.2 %) and sixth in penalty killing (85.5 %). A 49-year-old native of North Bay, Ont., Taylor is the 21st head coach in Admirals history and joined the club following four seasons as an assistant with the Texas Stars, where his teams reached the Calder Cup Playoffs three times and made a trip to the Finals in 2018. He also served as an assistant with the Chicago Wolves in 2011-12, and was a head coach in the ECHL with Reading (2005-08) and Ontario (2008-11).
  13. Sure the players loved RK, he was a great friend, probably a great interesting guy to talk to about anything and provide worldly advice for these young adults. But that doesn't make him a good hockey coach.
  14. Does Leaman bring his current associate head coach, Ron Rolston, with him to Buffalo? https://friars.com/sports/mens-ice-hockey/coaches THE RETURN OF THE GARDENING GLOVES is upon us
  15. Maybe he'll bring his assistant coach with him? https://friars.com/sports/mens-ice-hockey/roster#sidearm-roster-coaches
  16. Kim seems to be the face of both teams now, makes you wonder if Terry's mental capacities are on the decline.
